The name "BQ House Trevi Luxury Rooms" is highly misleading. While they don’t call themselves a hotel, the word "Luxury" sets expectations for high-end comfort that this property does not meet. Instead, the room is exceptionally small, minimalist, lacks basic amenities, and experiences noticeable street noise. Furthermore, breakfast requires an additional fee rather than being standard for a property under this branding. While the rates are premium, the actual accommodations fall completely short on space and comfort. The only redeeming qualities are the staff, who were quick to reply and helpful, and the central location, as the property sits within walking distance of major historic sights and plenty of dining options. Travelers looking for true luxury comfort may want to consider other options in the area.

No me gustó nada. Mentira del desayuno incluido. No sirve el elevador. El portarollo cayéndose, también el porta control remoto del aire acondicionado. Sugiero que Expedia separe hoteles de lo que son bed&breakfast y por estrellas. Mi error no fijarme hasta que había pagado y no era reembolsable. No hay donde poner la maleta!

Air conditioning poor. Toilet didn’t flush. Damp smell. Lift didn’t work. Basic but in a very good location. If you want comfort then this isn’t the place for you! Handy fridge and kettle and cups. Check out 10am too early. No water in water dispenser.

Booked Quadruple Room, June 11-13th 2026: EXPEDIA "GOLD VIP" ROOM >> I read many reviews on expedia & google, assumed bc it was a GOLD VIP hotel that maybe they'd fixed the issues people mentioned... nope. 1) The Trevi sends a confirmation note that they aren't a "hotel" but rather a "bed and breakfast", but it's only a bed - no breakfast, not even a water in the room. 2) The bedroom was very small for a "quadruple" (4 person) suite, 15x15ft at most. It's deceptively shown on room photos as being much more spacious but there was 2ft maybe 3ft at most on the wider side around the bed to move. 3) The "bunk bed" is not a bed but a sofa that opens upwards on rickety metal windings which made me concerned it might collapse. Definitely not suitable for adults to sleep on - we had 2 teenage sons (14 & 16) and neither fit on their bunk without bending their knees. I'd have dragged the bottom mattress out onto the floor incase it collapsed but not enough space to do so. 4) Room clean but the shower was atrocious with thick black mold around the entire square shower basin that broke away when wiped, as if it'd never been cleaned. Gnarly.

The place was fine but we were annoyed that even though we booked the place last minute and late at night they charged us 50 Euro for late checkin. They said it was posted in the listing but I looked twice. If a business is going to accept a reservation after their normal check in hours they should just post the price and not play games. We spent our remaining 6 nights in Rome at a lovely other property just up the street.
