I stayed here for 2 days at the beginning of my trip which was good. New room, bad mattress might as well slept on the floor. Alarms going off randomly and staff were nonchalant about it. I was not scared me as I was in the shower. Tv would close and go black it would eventually go dark on its own.

the mattresses need replacing because they are uncomfortable; should be more variety at breakfast; and the air conditioning doesn't cool the room enough. the staff is very attentive -especially the Cuban gentleman at the entrance- and the area is safe and perfect for walking to the Vatican, with may restaurant nearby the hotel price is good.

This hotel is in an old converted condominium building, with a quirky elevator in the middle. You do have to go up some steps to get to the elevator but they had someone working downstairs that helped us. The rooms are average size for Italy, but spotlessly clean. The bed on first sitting was very hard but actually slept very well on it and the pillows were great. The only issue with the room was that it had yellow curtains and when the sun shone in it lit up the whole room. That is the only issue. Yes the decor is a bit quirky, but we really liked it there. The star of the show was Giuseppe on the main desk. Spoke amazing English, showed us the best routes to travel on the map, and organised a driver for our return journey. He also made recommendations for two restaurants which were amazing. The location is brilliant and it was nice to not be in the main tourist area.

The hotels location is excellent for tourists. The Vatican was 5min away by walking. There were several restaurants and stores nearby. The hotel was very clean but an old funny elevator. Buffet breakfast was the beeest however didn’t start until 7:30am which in my experiences; hotels tend to start breakfast as early as possible considering tourist want to go out early. I requested and iron for my clothes and they didn’t have one available. Staff was very kind they even gave us a map and explained to us how to use transportation safely. We came back late at night and felt safe in this neighborhood. Also, best Gelateria is located on block down the street toward the Vatican. I really recommend you staying in this hotel!
