The property is over two floors and was lovely. Very clean and with excellent facilities.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of fundamental issues which spoilt our enjoyment. The biggest issue was the heat in the apartment. It was very hot, especially in the downstairs bedroom. When I messaged My Extra Home and asked how to turn the air-conditioning on, they responded saying that the a/c in the building does not get turned on until 7th April. We were there 3-6th April! I then asked if they could provide three electric fans, one for each bedroom. They said they would sort it but didn’t.
The downstairs bedroom was so hot (the French door was sealed so we couldn’t even let outside air in) that my wife slept on the sofa bed in the lounge. Not ideal when we’d booked a luxury apartment.
Another issue was the upstairs doors. All of them made a loud scraping sound when you opened or closed them and the bathroom door needed some real force (and made a very loud noise) to open or close it. Unfortunately, these noises happened mostly of a night as we went to bed so disturbed those in our group that had gone to bed earlier.
The apartment was also quite a long way from the entrance to the main building and you had to go through three security doors (entering a code each time) to then get to the lift, then a further walk through an outside area. After 10pm you had to pass through four security code doors!
If we’d had a/c and if the doors were silent, we would’ve enjoyed our stay.
