“The stay was comfortable and the gardens lovely. The drinks and barstaff great, reception great and friendly with advice on sight seeing. The room was comfortable and clean. There was a broken window pane and the furnishings were dated. Bed comfortable. The food was disappointing. I had a seafood chowder which was pretty good and the fish tasted fresh. the main was a steak that looked pale and was not cooked with lots of fat and gristle, the vegetables were overcooked. The desert tasted OK but……

“Great location in Cong. Close to everything. Parking wasn't a problem. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast. The only advice is that they don't have an elevator/lift. If you're on the second floor, you will have to haul your luggage up a narrow flight of stairs. Also, like most places in Ireland, no wash clothes. ”

“John, the owner and operator of this B&B was very welcoming and accommodating during our 3 night stay. Our room, #2, was charming (older) and very clean. We had a private bathroom and our window faced the road and offered a beautiful, pastoral view of the green fields, local horses, and far-off lakes. Breakfast (from 8:30 - 10:00 am) was delicious with eggs, link sausage, ham, porridge, breads, yogurt, etc. Parking was plentiful and only steps away from the entrance to the B&B. I recommend this……

“No breakfast and no upgrade that was paid for. Room had mildew and was smelly. No one around. Very grimy and unkept accommodation.”

“The resort is a bit out of the way but that was what made it special. No cell phone coverage at the resort so you have time to reset and enjoy your surroundings.”

“We had kind of a quick turnaround, wish we had more time to explore and use the amenities. The breakfast was fantastic, great view (the sunrise was one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen), very friendly and helpful staff. The bed was super comfortable. A bit of a drive but well worth it.”

“Beautiful, spacious property. Practical Details for Americans: they have a water kettle not a coffee pot, so purchase instant or bag coffee before you come, not beans or ground. They have a washer and dryer. You need to bring pods and be aware, it's a condenser dryer that takes about 2 hours to dry a verysmall load (5-6 items). Be sure to empty the dryer water tank. It's muddy on the property, so bring slippers or alternate shoes plus something to put your shoes in to protect your suitcase.……

“The hotel is in a stunning location. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay with great food this is unbeatable. Staff are excellent, welcoming and humorous. And if you want fishing then it is perfect. We will go back.”
