"Nothing but high praise for this hotel! Second time I’ve stayed here and it is just as good as last time. The food is superb (kudos to the chef at breakfast who makes the best scrambled eggs on the planet) From check in with the delightful Ryan to check out, all was perfect. The ambiance and service is all made possible by the high quality staff. I’ll certainly be back 😁"
"The hotel foyer, restaurant and exterior give off a classy 5 star establishment as is the price per nights but the rooms do not live up to that.
Beds are comfortable but the rooms look tired. Bathrooms still have showers over the baths which are difficult to get in and out of.
No decent coffee (pod machine) or tea in the rooms. A must at all good establishments. Just the very cheap variety
Room faced the street and although there was a balcony it wasnt somewhere pleasant to sit ."
"The gym only opens at 7:00am which seems ridiculously late given that many guests will be attending for work purposes. It needs to home at 5:00am.
The northward view of the coast is wonderful. The view of the waterless pool, with some forgotten and unwatered palms is less appealing."
"The Norfolk is in a very central part of Freo, with the markets across the road and other bars, cafes and restaurants nearby. The room was huge, clean and quite modern considering the age of the building. I've always considered the Norfolk staff to have great customer service however this went up a notch when checking in and out. I've visited the Norfolk many times however this was my first stay and i'm really glad i chose it. The pub closes at midnight so no need to worry about noisy patrons. Hopefully i'll be able to stay there again some day. "
