"We had a very nice time at Anne Marie's place. She was really welcoming and helpful. Checking in and out was very quick and straightforward. She gave us great information about what to see and do on the area too. The location is very good, in a quiet place, but close to supermarkets and a few lakes with bars and restaurants. "L'endroit est calme, le logement était parfaitement propre et la propriété est dans son ensemble bien entretenue. Nous avons trouve une belle piscine commune, un grand jardin autour de la piscine, des équipements à disposition (barbecue, jeux pour enfants), un havre de paix pour satisfaire notre souhait de repos. Les enfants avaient une très belle chambre, les parents aussi. L'ensemble est fonctionnel et confortable. Il y a quelques défauts mineurs mais le rapport qualité prix est vraiment très bon. Durant cet été 2026, le confortable salon s'est révélé bien frais malgré le contexte caniculaire "exceptionnel".Le propriétaire de l'ensemble des gîtes est attentif et réactif, nous recommandons.Des commerces à 10mn en voiture, une belle campagne environnante, les étoiles la nuit..."

"We are a family of 8 - 4 "kids" 2 parters and mum and dad. What a great venue for a get together. We ate out on the terrace every day inc breakfast. The cooking facilities were great. The wednesday night was our wedding anniversary so we hired a couple of chefs for the evening. La Broulie is very quiet and I'm sure we heard a wolf howl one night. the stars were very bright in the absence of light pollution. what a great family holiday. This place would easily fit 3 large families putting the kids all in the big attic room."

"Great house for families, we met Thomas briefly after check in. He generously provided a welcome basket and extra tractors for 2 year old to play with. Well equipped house with lots of space. Good for peaceful countryside holidaying, large garden and many games and activities. Nearby river canoeing from Ruffec. Certain aspects need a little tlc but you will have a great time here"

"This is the best place that I have ever stayed in. It’s truly magnificent. Historic, luxurious, serene and romantic. The staff were impeccable. The food was stunning. The grounds and amenities are second to none. Get a room in the main chateau if you can, they are absolutely fabulous. I cannot say enough great things about this property."

"This hotel is lovely. It was clean throughout, the pool was open and available, parking outside at the front was plentiful and the flower troughs along the front were beautiful. Communication with Stephane was easy and he offered to allow us access before 6pm, which we didn’t take advantage of in the end. His phone number is clearly visible on the front door if the hotel is unmanned. The food in the restaurant was top quality and the service was excellent. We would have no reservation in recommending this hotel to others."
