"Seems every bathroom light buzzes really loudly. It’s just a loud place with broken things and clearly not a premium hotel. Pretty rundown, but it’s clean and good for a night when one just wants sleep to get on the road next day "

"The view from the room was beautiful, overlooking the beach and lake. Room and bed were clean and comfortable. Enjoyed the ambience of the fake fireplace. Breakfast was delicious and staff was helpful and it was great to have real dishes. Loved having the bar right there and being able to sit outside by the fire pit. Great bartender, too. Pool and hot tub were great -- both were large and appropriate temperatures. One difficulty was having to go up & down 5-6 steps even after getting on our floor."

"On our Morning breakfast we were seated at a wonderful table right in the front window with a beautiful view of the harbor. It made our day!!!"

" If you plan to spend your time at the locks and the surrounding area, this is a great location. We stayed in a cottage with 2 queen beds. It’s small as described. Clean! You can park right in front of your door. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had our dog with us and were put in a good location for her. A continental breakfast is included plus free coffee, tea and hot chocolate all day. This was appreciated because the mornings were cold. We would stay again! If you’re looking for luxury, keep looking. If you are looking for a clean space in a great location with a friendly staff, book it. "

"I love the up north Lodge feel of the rooms and property. But everything was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are simple, but have all the amenities needed for your stay. "

"Although pine cottage is anything but a cottage it is very special our room looked over the Bay we could hear the clump clump of the horses quietly when we opened the window and it was just an exceptional visit. Staff is way above average and very accommodating. This booking ohh set the pattern for a couple of wonderful days on the island. When you walk down the hill or take a cab club club club club go to joanne's for delightful mechanic Mackinac island fudge. If we ever come back we're going to stay here"
