"A female, travelling alone, and this was a safe & wonderful studio accommodation! It was clean, comfortable & cozy, and conveniently close to the beach, local hikes, and all amenities in Russell. I was able to walk to most things, so having a safe spot to park my rental car was appreciated. I like to cook for myself much of the time when I travel (dietary concerns), and the tools and equipment for using the BBQ were available. That, along with fridge, toaster, mic & tea kettle, covered all the cooking requirements for my stay. I particularly enjoyed my morning tea on the deck, while watching the boats coming & going in the bay. What an outstanding view! Thank you so much!"

"Excellent hotel , very spacious clean room . The swimming pool was a bonus and we did enjoy it . Centrally located in Russell next to the beach and wharf with great parking . The beach was a bit disappointing , it was not sandy . However the Hotel was a peaceful retreat . The hotel room was ideal if you were self catering but there were many varied good restaurants nearby as well . We would definitely return and would highly recommended it . "

"Set above the gables restaurant, the place is on the strand with unbeatable ocean view.The only downside is noise from the gables when they play music below. Didn’t worry us, but some others might not like that. Place was clean, with tons of character. "
