Terrible Vacation
We arrived at the cottage and found that the driveway is impossible to drive down. This means you have to carry all your bags down a long hill (we have a baby and he requires lots of different bags of items). Once we got in the cottage it STINKS like mould or rotting wood. Technically it is 1 bedroom not two because the second one is in the basement with no door or privacy from the upstairs. The hot tub was dirty. The dock was falling apart and unsafe. The entire property is on a hill so you can’t even enjoy the backyard. THE BARBECUE WAS COMPLETELY RUSTED all the grills falling apart. It would not start and the cherry on top was when I notified the owner I was lied to and told the barbecue worked before our stay. I felt ridiculed and disrespected. They left us with no paper towel, no aluminum foil, no plastic wrap, nothing to clean dishes with, no spices not even salt or pepper. There was no broom to sweep up a mess. Since we couldn’t use the barbecue we decided to use the oven but they had no baking trays or any oven safe dishes. The canoe was rotting and unsafe, kayaks are inflatable and barely work. MOST IMPORTANTLY YOU CAN NOT SWIM HERE, because of the dock yes but there is also 100 feet of THICK weeds in the water and it is infested with catfish.Windows would get stuck open, AC unit was super old and not clean. So loud and shaking the window. Finally the weirdest part of the entire thing was the insane amount of cameras on the property. Creepy….
