Top Saint Croix Parish Hotel Reviews

Winsome Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Great to stay here. The breakfast was minimal, but glad to have it."

The Coach House
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent in all regards. Host Fred very welcoming. House is filled with amazing collectibles from all over the world. We had the bedroom at the end of the hall upstairs which was very comfortable with its own very modern bathroom. Breakfast was amazing with lots of fresh fruit and specially prepared scrambled eggs bacon and home fries!!! The 3 French bulldogs were a bonus. We would highly recommend this property to future travelers."

Algonquin Resort St Andrews by-the-Sea Autograph Collection
8/10 Good
"Good stay over Thanksgiving but some few setbacks. First, staff were wonderful, we spent a gorgeous afternoon on the verandah reading, cozy under blankets. The grounds are lovely and the hotel is stately combining comfort and elegance. We had booked over Thanksgiving. The buffet was unimaginative, not well stocked (I twice tried to obtain turkey to no avail). What was available was barely warm. Very disappointing. Breakfast the following day was good with a full English but with coffee juice and well deserved 15%, it was just shy of $100. To me, that’s steep for bacon cooked shatteringly, a tablespoon of lukewarm beans, pedestrian hash brown patties and a couple of tiny sausages. There was a decent amount of mushrooms and roast tomatoes and the eggs were meh. Dinner that night in the Passamaquoddy Verandah began well with roast cauliflower and a burrata and tomato salad, but quickly went sideways with the pork chop main. Two of the thinnest fast fry chops you’ve ever seen made leatherlike on the grill accompanied by boiled potatoes and a smidgen of red cabbage. There was supposed to be an “apple fennel” chutney but what I got was long on apple and bereft of fennel. The dish was sent back and due to the late hour and my companion already into his halibut which was cooked well and tasty but served awkwardly, sloshing about in mussel broth along with his (substitute) mash. A bit disastrous. King patio room needs some comfy chairs, not wooden kitchen chairs in the room. Bed 👍"

"All was excellent Including the deer enjoying their walk around the yard both AM and PM"

Scoodic Motel
10/10 Excellent
"There was no outlet in the bathroom but one on the wall just outside the door. The bathroom door had a nice sized mirror on the bedroom size for drying hair. There was no hair dryer in the bathroom. I had my own so no problem. The room was smaller and perfect for a night or two. Appearance was fresh and clean. Would stay again"

Europa Inn

Carriage House on 9.5 Acres. Sit at the ocean or enjoy the waterfalls - Luxury
10/10 Excellent
"Our hosts, Karen and Keith with their four- legged sidekicks Ziggy and Bello made us feel instantly at home and welcome. Karen prepared a delicious cheese cake to help celebrate André's birthday. The carriage house accommodation was spotless with high end appliances, kitchen ware, towels and linens and a very comfortable bed. We were also treated to fresh eggs, strawberries and other newly harvested goodies from the garden. The ocean access was even more beautiful than in the pictures and a great spot to enjoy a glass of wine after a day of sight seeing. We spent the week exploring the region with regular visits to lovely Saint Andrews to enjoy the sights and visit the pub, took a day trip to Saint-Stevens for the County Fair, travelled by ferry to have lunch on Deer Island and spent another day in Saint John, for a walking tour and a tour of the Moosehead Brewery. We were spoiled with magnificent weather enabling us to take full advantage of our natural surroundings and enjoy the peace and tranquility of this lovely property . We highly recommend the Carriage House if you are thinking of visiting Saint-Andrews."
