Tropical Resort - probably the quietest place in the tourist town of Santa Maria.

Much of the accommodation in the main town is in a busy area with cafes, bars, restaurants, traffic, dogs and noise. This is great for a night out. However, we chose to purchase this apartment in the most peaceful location, but that is still close to the town and beach. Tropical Resort is a high-quality development and is just 300m from the lovely sandy Santa Maria beach, on the island of Sal.

Inside the apartment…

The apartment accommodates up to 5 people and includes one king size double bedroom, 1 twin bedroom, a double sofa bed in the living room (more suitable for one person), a dining table that seats 6 people, kitchen, bathroom with Italian tiles and modern sanitary fitments, (including shower, toilet and bidet), and an outside terrace with table and chairs. The kitchen includes the essentials for cooking including a refrigerator/freezer, hob, microwave, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, utensils, crockery and cutlery. The living area is comfortable and well equipped with sofa, coffee table and television. There are ceiling fans in all rooms. The apartment faces southeast so it is possible to sit on the terrace in the mornings and enjoy a sunny breakfast.

We have installed air-con in the bedrooms and living room. To help cover costs we offer this to our guests at €5 per night.

Outside the house…

There is a private terrace overlooking the shared gardens and pool. The shared areas include a tropical garden, a large free-form swimming pool and outdoor shower. There are sun loungers on both sun terraces and shaded terraces. There are bars, restaurants and two small supermarkets just 2 minutes walk away. The beach and sea is just 3 minutes walk away and the town 10 minutes, where there are lots of shops, bars and restaurants.

It is located close to the centre of the 8km sandy Santa Maria beach. This beach is known for surfing. To the east, about a 25 minute walk, there is a Kite Beach, together with a wild stretch of untouched wilderness, where you can enjoy a coffee in the restaurant, kite surf, or paddle with the harmless lemon sharks if you walk a little further.

Your stay includes everything on the inventory (available on request) including bedding and house towels. Also included is laundry (of bedding & towels), electricity, gas and water. There is free WIFI available in the apartment. Please bring towels for use by the pool and on the beach.

Tourist Tax is payable by all adults over the age of 16. The cost is €2.50 per person per night to a maximum of 10 nights.
