It is a nice little Colorado town with a good vibe. It is obviously growing as there is a lot of new construction. Downtown area is quite nice with lots of restaurants and shops and outdoor common space. The river is a main attraction in town.

Salida is a wonderful place! The Riverwalk is beautiful & downtown has so much to offer for shopping & dining. We scheduled several activities around the area & easily got to them from Salida. Definitely recommend the area!

"Great location and room. The beds are a little soft for me but fine. Located right over and next to a bar/restaurant but had great insulation so noise was never an issue. Beware - no elevator. I had just had hip surgery but I was able to make it up and down the stairs but I had my sons help with luggage. It would be difficult to get luggage up and down those stairs if you weren’t strong. "
