Hotel needs a lot of help

Front desk was terrible morning person was sleeping at the desk. Back door security lock was broken anyone could walk in. This hotel needs new management and fast.

Room smelled like cigarette smoke, there was dead bugs on the ground all throughout the hotel, we walked into our room and immediately walked back out due to the cigarette smoke smell being so bad, not sure how dirty the rest of the room was due to only getting one step into the doorway and walking back out, went to the front desk to let them know we wanted to cancel the room and that we could not stay the night there, one of the ladies behind the counter was helpful but the other wouldn’t even put the effort in to walk up the stairs to verify the condition of the room, worst hotel we have ever been to as far as cleanliness

The room was old didn’t have outlet(s) close to the bed. The shower head needed to be replaced. The bed head a loud streaky sound on any movement you made on the bed.

We checked in late, and was given a room that was already occupied. However, the gentleman, Jon, was very quick to remedy this situation and get us a different room. The door to our room was cracked. Unable to latch bolt at the top of the door properly due to missing/lose screws. Hot tub was out of service. Fire alarm malfunctioned in the middle of the night and it went off every hour. I tried calling the hotel directly before we checked in to let them know we were going to be late but never got through to the front desk. The continental breakfast was a joke. No variety. Just one cereal choice, a couple bagels, no juice

The check it was fast and easy. The room and really the whole place was clean, though could use a little TLC. I was too busy to get to the pool, that area looked clean as well, but the hot tub was not in service. The breakfast was just toast, bagel, muffin or cold cereal. It was certainly reasonable for the price. There were many work/construction type vehicles. It could get a bit loud in the hallway, but I could not hear anything from the next room. Felt safe and welcome. The room temp was easily controlled by the well functioning A/C - heater.

When we arrived, the front desk person was helping my mother with her non-working remote. They couldn’t find batteries. We waited quite awhile to check in as none of the other people behind the counter even acknowledged our presence. When we were finally helped, check-in was quick and she was friendly. There was a group of boys in and out behind the desk that smelled of marijauna and the hallways all smelled strongly. The boys were grabbing snacks from the breakfast area that was set up for the next day. I’m not sure if they were employees or just friends of the girl working behind the desk. Our room was dirty, and the tv didn’t work. We eventually discovered that the tv in our room and my mother’s were unplugged. The shower drain was slow leaving me in standing water above my ankles in a 10-minute shower. The room was loud, with no sound barrier between other room TVs and occupant activities at all hours of the night.
