Hunting ~n~ Hooks Getaway

  • This wonderful cabin style home consists of 3 bedrooms, 1 bath and has an open living room / kitchen area perfect for relaxing and/or entertaining. The home is approximately 1,020 sqft, situated in the Elk Bend area just about 15 minutes from the wonderful town of Salmon Idaho. This area offers some of the best the best hunting, fishing, biking, rafting, hiking, outdoor recreation, and just plain ole relaxing that Salmon has to offer.

    The home is equipped with all the amenities you will need to relax and make yourself feel at home. There is also a large television in the living room to watch your favorite movies while seated near the warm wood burning stove in the winter months or cool air conditioning in the summer. The home also offers many board games for adults and the children to enjoy as well as other outdoor games such as corn hole and horseshoes.

    You can fish the Salmon River which is just about a minute walk from the front door or watch the amazing wildlife such as big horn sheep and deer right out the front yard. If you are a hunting or fishing enthusiast such as myself, this home is perfect for you, your family and friends.

    No animals are allowed at this time, sorry. There is absolutely no smoking allowed inside.

Salmon fishing trip 2021

The cabin was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was how warm it was. The ac not easy to use. Besides that the place was awesome and we had a great time.

Great property and cabin.

The owner was easy to talk to and answered questions very quickly. We enjoyed our stay very much. I would recommend this listing to any one wanting a nice cabin to relax in. The owner worked with my team and me and allowed us to extend when needed. Thank you very much for your help and patience.

Phenomenal

It was my first time in Idaho and this place made it best being close to the river and amazing morning views of the mountains. We stayed here during a storm and thought it was going to be absolutely miserable. We were wrong and continued to enjoy every bit of the stay. Rooms are comfy fast internet and plenty of deer to enjoy. We would definitely recommend staying here unless we need to stay here, so we could stay here again.

Great Stay & Great location at Hunting and Hooks!

We loved our stay at the Hunting and Hooks getaway! It is a very warm, inviting and so nicely decorated. Super clean! We loved the fishing and hunting decor! It is in a great location for exploring the 93. We had a great time fishing and relaxing. Everything is well stocked with fun games for the kids. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Just like home

By far the best rental property we’ve stayed in ! If you need it, it’s there! Anything we came across that we needed, we didnt have to look far, because Jerry and Denise provided it! The cabin is warm when you need it, and cool when you need it. We had record high temps while we were there, and the cabin was plenty cool. (Although, we come from south Texas, so that was normal for us.) The location is fantastic! We stayed 4 nights and There is so much to do, we could have stayed another day or 2, if we hadn’t run out of time! We also brought a teen, a preteen, and a grade schooler and there was plenty of entertainment provided in the cabin to keep them all entertained during down time! Over all I really could go on and on about how great our stay was at Hooks and Hunting Jerry and Denise are wonderful hosts, you won’t be disappointed!

Family get away in Salmon

My family and I all decided to meet in Salmon Idaho for a family get away. It was a good meeting spot for others coming from different locations. I can not speak more highly about Hunting and Hooks Getaway! The house was perfect for us (three couples). Everything was perfectly clean on arrival, the location of the house was perfect and surrounding imagery beautiful. We had communication with the property owners a few times throughout the trip and they were always so friendly and eager to answer. They were even more than accommodating for our requests. The living room was perfect for all of us to get together and have some laughs playing the board games at night. The fire place added such a nice warm comforting feeling throughout the night. This house is perfect for whatever you may do in Salmon! We went hiking, snow shoeing, or skiing about every day. The surrounding sites and views including the dugouts and goldbug were a perfect distance away. I would give this house my highest recommendation and a perfect place to set up camp for a weekend. We hope to go back sometime in the future and hope everyone else enjoys their stay at this fantastic house!

Beautiful Hidden Gem

First of all, this place was sparkling clean. I'm talking 5-Star Hotel level cleanliness. I couldn't believe someone had just left that morning. All of the little touches like the decorations and the extra amenities in the bathroom and kitchen were a great bonus. It made our stay so comfortable and cozy. Jerry was super responsive to all of our needs and the guide book/binder was super helpful as well. Go to the Goldbug Hotsprings. Worth the hike! It super close, but don't trust Google Maps.

Getaway from it all to enjoy fishing in the mountains

We loved our relaxing time at this cabin. The owners have thought of everything from the cleanliness, kitchen amenities, games, and a bbq grill. The beds were comfortable, and the house was perfectly suited for our family of three to getaway for a few days. We enjoyed fishing several nearby creeks and the Salmon River. We had fun for a day in Salmon and loved the beautiful drive down to Stanley and the Sawtooth Mountains. And the dark skies for stargazing at night... spectacular! We would definitely come back and stay here again.

Well furnished, great location, and wonderful for a family stay!

Well furnished, great location, and wonderful for a family stay! We cannot say enough nice things about our stay at the Hunting and Hooks Getaway. We spent a lot of time at the river; a quick minute drive to a sandy swimming area, which was big enough to picnic, had plenty of shade, and easy fishing access. My nephew caught his very first fish! In the evening we zipped down the road, a minute or 2 drive to the Goldbug hot spring trail head and enjoyed relaxing in the natural hot springs. Amazing views! When we weren't out enjoying the outdoors we were in the cabin cooking. They had everything we needed to enjoy our down time, from cookware to board games. The owners were communicative and ready to answer questions and appreciative of suggestions. We highly recommend this stay!

Wonderful Cabin Getaway

We had a wonderful time on our mini vacay. The cabin is very well equipped with everything you need to cook your own meals. It is cozy and super comfy. Jerry and Denise have thought of everything you might need. They have gone above and beyond to outfit this cozy cabin with a ton of attention to detail. We loved all of the decor and comfy furniture. They had snacks, beverages, coffee, and lots of games too! You won’t regret staying here. My family of 4 had a great, relaxing time.

This area of Idaho is a MUST!

I can't believe this was our first trip to Salmon. We had an amazing time and absolutely loved this cute little mountain home off the river. The beds were comfortable, and the house was immaculate. Jerry was so extremely accommodating and even had snacks and drinks for us. We hiked to Goldbug Hot Springs which is challenging but so rewarding. The trail was only a mile drive south of this VRBO. I know this place will get busy, so I'll be making advanced reservations to make sure we get to go back!
