"We were greeted by the host, who showed us around and made us feel welcome, despite arriving later in the evening. Though we only spent one night, the place was perfectly clean and comfortable, and should we return to that part of France, we'd be very happy to stay again."

"I am usually very quick to decide how to rate a stay but this time I find it particularly difficult. On the one hand, it was great because the fishing cabin was spotless, included just about any appliance you can possibly think of, the host was most accommodating… love the boat trip to/from the cabin. On the other hand, it was terrible (no fault of the owner!): the really low winter temperatures meant that we woke up to a frozen river (had to wait until midday) before venturing out with the boat, return before it gets dark and before the temperatures dropped again … also had a power cut due to weather (host was most apologetic and tried her best but help could not get to us because the river was frozen).We left after 3 days and the host refunded the booking (note: Vrbo does not refund their fees).All in all the place has tremendous potential and the host is fantastic … there are so many affluents to visit. We will definitely be returning during spring/autumn time - after summer fishing season."

"Such a friendly and accommodating team at Mercure Dunkerque. Spacious family room for a family of 4, comfy beds and convenient parking below the hotel. Amazing location for early morning Shuttle crossing to UK. We’ve stayed here twice when doing this journey and can’t wait to come visit again! "

"It must be frustrating for hotel proprietors/owners when people leave bad reviews considering this a budget property.Good points,24 hr reception and free car park.Basic but ridiculously cheap breakfast.Adequate size room for one overnight stay.Warm room and everything was clean.The gentleman on reception in the evening was incredibly polite and the delightful lady in the morning was a credit to the hotel."
