A bad experience
What could have been a wonderful family experience turned out to be a regretful nightmare. We were a group of 4 senior citizens.The apartment we had contracted turned out to be unavailable due to repairs. We were notified of the situation 4 days prior to our visit so it was too late to make further arrangements. We were offered a house which supposedly was much better than the selected apartment.The house had only 1 bathroom and in theory, 3 bedrooms. One bedroom had bunk beds with no ladder to the top bunk and another bedroom required climbing up a firefighter ladder onto an attic. Obviously, this setup was unacceptable for senior citizens. So our family had to split up and two members ended up renting another property about 3 miles from us.As for the property offered, it left much to be desired.Multiple issues were encountered but the following were among the most outstanding:1) Both the tub and bathroom sink were supplied with previously used soap bars. The shower curtain was torn.2) The microwave was filthy.3) Pots and pans were deplorable; some were missing handles.4) The bed linen provided was for a single bed, unfit for a double bed.5) The dining room was very cold as the patio doors have huge gaps which allow the cold outside air to rush in making it unpleasant.6) Our interaction with the owner felt uncomfortable and tense, not what you expect while on vacation. I seriously do not recommend this place.
