My stay was truly HORRIFIC. We weren't safe. This place needs to be condemmed and nobody should ever be charged money to stay at a disguting place like this.
Becky Bird and her Boss assisted in me celebrating a friends birthday in style. Not only did we have access to a cool shaded pool but we also Barbecued! Great Birthday memories were definitely created. Vote for Employee of the Summer: Becky Bird! She knocked it out of the ballpark.
Horrible cleanliness it was under construction but they should not be open during if it will stay in that condition. The carpet in our room was sticky and Brown matted grossness and the lamps were electrical taped together and if you bumped a wire it would turn the lamp off severe fire hazard. The listing said they had breakfast and it was a frozen microwavable biscuit with no microwave in site. Worst hotel experience we've had
They are in the process of remodeling. We must have switched rooms maybe three or four times. Toilet didn’t work in one, no fire alarm in the other, roof leak in the shower, outlets and lights didn’t work, and the smell of cigarettes and Molly. The staff were really nice and trying so hard to find us a descent room. Very dog friendly, just wish others were courteous enough to pick up after their dogs. It was a surprisingly good breakfast to go bag. Very outdated. We stayed a week and half the time we were woken up by the fire alarms going off in the middle of the night. Fire Department came and everything just to find nothing. The staff were the best thing at the hotel. Absolutely professional, courteous, caring, and genuinely nice staff!
It was exactly what it was... economical. It is not glamorous. The challenge I have with this review is that they were in mid renovation so I know it will likely be better but our room was slightly torn apart and missing fixtures. The location is 1 block from everything you want to be at downtown... but that one block is drastically different.
They were doing construction during the stay and it was very unpleasant. Made me feel like I was in the movie the shining and Johnny was going to axe my door.
I think the only good things about Econo Lodge were.. the staff was nice and it was quiet at night and its within walking distance of downtown. The bad things were ..it was very dirty ..im pretty sure there were numerous code violations in my room with electrical wiring ..the a.c. unit was held together with duct tape..the shower was nasty ..the carpet had stains on it ..the walls were dirty and the elevator made you feel like you didnt want to touch any buttons or brush against a wall . Pretty sure its a hotel for meth heads and prostitutes. Hopefully they remodel the entire place soon
Was just so nasty! Room wouldn’t get cold at all! Room door wouldn’t shut unless you put the key back in it and even than you had to slam the door just to shut it.
The employees were very nice. I was not impressed with the room. We had to change rooms since the tv had gone out. There were dead cockcroaches

Staff is nice; don't give Hotels.com money upfront
I was not able to stay at the hotel. It was not the hotels fault but hotels.com fault. Hotels.com took my money up front but did not follow through with the reservation and I could not get a hold of anyone with hotels.com. They placed me on hold for over 2 hours. I ended up having to go find somewhere else to stay. I will never pay up front with hotels.com again! Guaranteed booking is a lie! The receptionist at this hotel was super friendly and showed me in their system that they had no record of a reservation of a booking for me even with my confirmation number.
Paid for the room for my son to stay in. They were friendly and very accommodating.

Misleading
Room was a little musky smelling. A/C worked great. The pool and entrance to balcony at pool area should've been closed. Balcony floor had caught on fire and was still smothering and wasn't blocked off to try to prevent any accidents that could've happened. No signs posted to let anyone know that they weren't doing complimentary breakfast. There were plenty of misleading signs posted with the hours of breakfast with instructions. The employee's were great and working hard during this situation of all businesses being understaffed.
However it is a very creepy motel I know it gets to be a drugs and crime. I'm sure it is you know and I understand that they have to have so much as well very out of date and it stinks I think because of the carpet
