Charming
This rental was quaint and charming, and I wish I'd had the time to ask questions about its history. The slightly poor surrounding neighborhood only added to the atmosphere of the place which almost seemed to belong to another place and time. Everything was clean and comfy and safe, and I would definitely go again.

This place was AMAZING!!! Gale is awesome and communicating was perfect. Its an oasis...literally. When we come home to visit San Antonio from now on..this will be are GO TO.

What an extremely unique stay and property. We honestly did not know what to expect when we drove into the "estate" - it was so peaceful and charming. We loved just walking around and checking out the different buildings. Our room was very quiet and definitely fulfilled our needs. We didn't get a chance to use the kitchen, but it was nice to have it all as an option. Great coffee and food was a nearby drive as well as the Missions National Park (free access to the park and the ability to rent bikes for the river trail was wonderful). Short 10-15 minute drive to nearly all of the major tourist attractions (check out the Pearl District).

SA Visit

Peaceful location
Antler Inn is a very nicely landscaped place. The cottage I was in was very nicely decorated in a rustic decor and had the basic needs for my stay. I slept well! :-) I hope to stay there again...

Quaint & cozy get away
Where to start…from checking in for my 8day stay to checking out…EVERYTHING was amazing,quaint,cozy & more than I expected! There are 3 other rentals on property,each with a different,loving theme! I can’t wait to come back with my husband…best blessing is I have an amazing new sister to cherish forever 💗 Any property you rent here will be a gift. Around every corner there’s something amazing to discover,not cluttered just hand chosen decor & love in everything💗

I lovely place to stay
It was a lovely place to stay. San Antonio was very hot and the air conditioner could work a little better, but all in all it was a wonderful weekend away.

Yes San Antonio has had the hottest summer we have had in history. All the air conditioners were working at max preformance. It was hot all over the city.

Great couple's getaway!
The host was super friendly and gave great recommendations on local eateries and activities. The housing was super comfortable with a great layout that allows one to sleep while the other watches TV or listens to music without disturbing each other. Will definitely be back!

Perfect!
My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary at Antler Inn and absolutely loved it. Rustic charm throughout and so relaxing. We cannot say how much we loved this place. The manager provided extra fans because of the excessive heat and made sure that we were comfortable. She’s a gem!

Disappointed with stay
Property was not clean, WiFi was very spotty, TV didn’t work in living room and I had to call Gail for assistance which took 1 hour for her to get there, couldn’t enjoy outside garden as mosquitos were terrible, bedroom mattress was very lumpy, supplies like toilet paper and paper towels were not adequate,

I'm so sorry you were not satisfied with your stay. You are correct you were here thru 2 horrendous rain storms with hail that are not common to San Antonio. It was on the news here 24 hours a day because it was so bad, causing the internet to slow down. The tv in the living room works great and every guest since you left has been using it just fine. Since you were here 3 nights the cleaning crew put 3 rolls of toilet paper there for one guest and there were several rolls of paper towels in the cabinet provide you ran out of a new roll you were given. I drove 1 hour in the pouring down rain to help you when you could not work the electronics. The cottage was left in a very dirty condition and the cleaning crew had to provide extra service and charges because of the shape it was left in. So sorry your stay was not fitting for you.

Secret Garden
We felt as we were in the gardens like the quaint historic Charleston or Louisiana Quarter. The hundred year old trees, birdsong and native plants were beautiful to take in. The guest cottages are exceptionally clean. The Antler Inn Cottage is well appointed in rustic western charm with contemporary comfort. The bed is amazingly comfortable! Every detail in the decor brings a guest into the heart of Old San Antonio with comfort. Thank you. Our stay was perfect!

Good Location.
This is a good place to stay if you’re going to be around San Antonio. The rooms were clean and quaint. The Wi-Fi was spotty on some of my devices but it was really comfortable. The owner was very nice and welcoming. Definitely might come back if I get another vacation there.

Great location for visiting the Missions
My wife and I stayed here for the weekend, primarily to visit the Missions and river walk, which this is only a short walk or drive to the main visitor center, but you can very easily get to the centre of San Antonio for other attractions. The property is exactly as described, it’s cosy and in a quiet neighborhood, nestled toward the rear of the property. Our host Gail was lovely, communications was quick and the check-in / check-out was easy. We would recommend to all!

Beautiful ,relaxing, comfy and warm atmosphere
It's Gorgeous and very calming. Even with the dead of winter plant conditions, the place was beautiful and peaceful. Will be staying here again , and will recommend to my family and friends. We want to try out the other rooms on the property

Stayed for about 12 hours
Pros: - Good size for a couple - Heat turned on and warmed up the place quickly - Seemed cleaned from a COVID perspective - The rest of the property looked nice, but we didn't explore it. Cons: - Communication was poor. Host was a little rude. - Toilet too close to kitchen without a solid door between them. - Some cobwebs - No written instructions anywhere on wifi, check-in/out, etc. - Iron did not work well - No snacks and such as indicated in photos (not a big deal for us, but still a con) We got in late and left early, so it worked for the one night. But I don't think we'd stay here again.

The location is good and quiet. Plenty of restaurants. Close to downtown. Issues are the WiFi connection is bad. Clearance was not good. We found a pair of shorts under the bed. Shower facet was either just cold or hot water. No in between. Probably not connected right.

A quaint little space for our family of 3. All the amenities we needed for a 3 night stay. Very clean and the bed was super cozy. Central A/C, perfect for Texas' heat. Beautiful pool area. We felt very safe and secure during our stay. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Not here again.
The property looks amazing and host was nice, However the surrounding area is very squalor and reminiscent of the filthiest streets of Chicago. Very crime ridden as well inside the cabin was very clean until i cut myself on a drinking class that was presumed safe which was put away as clean with a giant crack alongside of it.

A hidden treasure!
My husband and I stayed only for one night. We needed a place to rest, after driving 1300 miles. Once we pulled in to the driveway,I was thrilled if the property. The guest house was fully stocked. Very clean, and the decoration is western, like the Lone Ranger series. My husband and myself enjoyed the pill, we had it just for the both of us. I love it. Thank you Gail, for allowing us to stay in your beautiful place, I will definitely come back, to San Antonio Texas!

This is a hidden gem! The property was beautiful, peaceful and clean. It was located close to everything we did. Gail was very friendly and had great suggestions on places to eat and visit. We had a wonderful time!!! If we make it back to San Antonio we will definitely stay here again.

A fine place to stay while on business
This was a nice place for myself while on business in San Antonio. Important for me was the internet service which worked very well. As mentioned by others the grounds are unique and impressive - particularly considering the surrounding neighborhood. It was very hot during my stay and the air conditioning unit worked wonderfully. The description and photos of the unit are very accurate. The unit itself is quite unusual. If you like lots of unusual decorative items in a rental this place is for you - including numerous stuffed animals heads mounted on the walls. It was a bit too cluttered for me but I was aware of this by the photos.

Couldn’t be More Perfect!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Antler Inn cottage in San Antonio! We were sad to leave. It was like an oasis in the desert.....beautiful lush surroundings, peaceful and quiet. The property was a hidden gem and our stay was fantastic. The neighborhood appears to be a bit economically depressed and gave us an initial concern as we drove through, but all of that became a non-issue once we arrived at the property. Truly a blessed place to stay!

It's a hidden Jewel in the fabulous city of San Antonio, TX. We were greeted with warm, friendly faces to get us settled. They exceeded their kindness with recommendations to restaurants and attractions in the area. They enjoyed sharing their culture with assistance to a special event happening while we were there. Wonderful place for BMT Graduation weekend!
Stayed here with my 3 month old daughter and husband during his graduation from Basic Military Training on Lackland Air Force Base which is located right down the street! Sweet comfortable restful cottage surrounded by beautiful lush grounds. Perfect place to stay in San Antonio that’s close to everything!
