"Amazing stay! Excellent view, super friendly and helpful staff. Awesome location. We were worried that it was too close to the pier but it was perfect. Close to the square and ideal for catching a bus or ferry. If you’re active, check out “All Trails” for some amazing hikes in the area. Path of Gods and a waterfall one where you walk through hundreds of lemon trees. Totally recommend this accommodation- enjoy your trip! "

"We loved Pogerola-a quiet town up above Amalfi with a few nice restaurants and a beautiful terrace with bar and gelaterie! There is a bus stop nearby only costs 1.50 euro to get up and down the hill from Amalfi. We walked down the path with steps to the town …beautiful walk took about 30 mins It was a delightful stay !! "Amalfi town is beautiful, historic but a bit chaotic and crowded. The Grand Excelsior is a peaceful respite well above the town built into the cliffs. The hotel has the best views in all of the Amalfi Coast. The architecture and decor are very charming and almost a time capsule for 1950's Mediterranean elegance. We loved the friendly staff and the restaurant and bar were very good and all we needed. The highlight for us was the private elevator built into the cliffs taking you down to the private beach. Amazing."
