Cozy apartment

Great mid century modern vibe in the heart of all the action. Loved the stereo and really enjoyed the apt. Parking was a challenge. If lucky enough to get a spot on the street ( very busy street) out front, had to move the car from 8-10 Tuesday and Friday for street sweeping. No laundry . Allowed in at exactly 3p and cleaners were there exactly at 10 on check out day.

We wanted to stay near Mission Beach, and this locale was perfect. The instructions for parking and entering the apartment were clear cut, and the unit was close to everything. Not much closet space, but we didn't need that for our short stayl.

Unlivable apartments

We could not get the temperature down below 85° in the Living Room, the bedroom with the air conditioning, could not get the temperature down below 80°. The apartment was dirty with mold around the bathtub. Paint peeling in the kitchen and bathroom. The pictures look nice online but pictures can be deceiving. In their description, they requested the tenants to not wear shoes for consideration for the people on the main floor, this was a second floor apartment, I don’t think that was appropriate for them to tell people to takeoff her shoes when the wood floors squeak and the bed squeaks very badly and loud every time you move or sit on the bed. This apartment is not livable unless you don’t mind a dirty apartment and won’t cool off below 85° even when the windows are open and outside was only 65 to 70° which doesn’t make sense. This apartment needs to be condemned. If not condemned they need to put some $ in it and an air conditioner in the Living Room, hire a painter to scrape all the loose paint and scrape out the mold around the bathtub. These people who rent this apartment should be ashamed of themselves, they probably never been in this apartment because they’re just in it for the money. They seem be like slumlord to me. It’s unfortunate that they miss lead potential renters over the Internet, you don’t know what you really getting until you get there to see what it looks like, the management is not willing to cooperate. It’s a total shame and messed up our trip.
