Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Recent Stay – Room 2219 (7/17–7/20) at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa and Marina from July 17 to July 20, 2025, in Room 2219. Given the Hyatt brand’s reputation for high standards and hospitality, I was extremely disappointed with the condition of the accommodations and the inadequate service provided throughout our visit.
Upon arrival, the overall condition of the room was noticeably worn down and unkempt. Most concerning was the discovery of garbage left in the sofa bed, indicating that housekeeping had not conducted a thorough cleaning prior to our check-in. Despite reporting that the shower drain was not functioning properly, no one ever came to fix the issue, nor were we offered a different room as a resolution. This lack of follow-through is unacceptable.
Additionally, the air conditioning in the room was unreliable, failing to maintain a comfortable temperature—an issue that significantly impacted our comfort, especially with two small children in our group. We were also forced to request towel replacements multiple times, and even then, the replacements were insufficient for our group of five guests.
