Since we were all ladies, three of us, we felt that it would be safer to stay in one room so we booked for one room with three guest via Expedia. However, at last minute one of us got sick and the doctor did not allow her to travel because of heart problem. We were informed about it on the night before departure so the following morning we departed from our island to go to our destination, San Francisco. This was a government official trip. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we requested to make adjustment at the front desk and we were told that we cannot make adjustment because our reservation was paid thru Expedia so we need to call them. When I called Expedia about it, the lady told me that it was too late to make adjustment. The room is only one and has only two queen size bed supposedly one bed was to be shared, but one traveler did not make it so the number of guests is down to two that matches the number of beds. Reducing the number of guest did not cause any loss but still Expedia did not allow adjustment on our billing. I learned my lesson so next time I will make reservation directly to the hotel.
