The Westin St Francis SF is a historic hotel which is very comfortable and employs really kind/helpful people. We enjoyed our stay here and other than needing some fresh paint and bathroom updates we wouldn’t fault it. I believe the “new” tower went up in the 70s and I noticed the showers/tubs could use some TLC but the rooms and beds are very comfortable and the new renovations downstairs in the other areas promise to be very special once completed. The views are like no other and the food selection in the cafe is good. We would stay again for sure!

The hotel was absolutely beautiful. The lobby was stunning. The design of flowers everywhere, what a site. The staff was very nice and helpful. The rooms were spacious and very clean. Beds were very comfortable. The location was very convenient. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing property no matter where you placed it. The decor is stunning, plenty of room to spread out, very accessible inside the property to bars, elevators, breakfast, etc. The rooms are amazing the tower rooms have windows which open slightly letting in fresh air.....ahhhhhhh! The service staff is amazing, helpful tips, approachability. When you add the location within the city...you can't beat it. The BART train system from the airport took us within a couple minute walk to the lobby, the Powell cable car track is on the corner, a MUNI bus stop is directly in front of the lobby door, and Union Square is right there allowing outdoor flat space to listen to live music, rent bikes, or let my husband peacefully sit in the sun while I shopped nearby stores (there are many)...LOL. Yes, there are a few homeless folks, and yes, one of them directly asked me to buy him a chicken sandwich...but everyone was respectful and went about their day.

It was in the centre of the City which was easy and convenient to catch public transport like f line and a short walk from Bart Powell Station. The mall is close by and lots of restaurants around the hotel that are walkable distance. We would stay here again. David at the concierge was very nice.

The hotel was under construction and their restaurants were affected by this. Limited choice on restaurants, and limited food offerings. Food was ok, but almost Airplane food-like. Also, concierge recommended a restaurant that was horrible, went to tell him and looked a couple of times and no concierge was at their desk.
