Great Value for Money

Good location close to the main street with some great local restaurants and far enough away from the all-inclusives. About a 10-ish minute walk to the beach. This isn't a 5 star resort, but for the price for the area you can't go wrong. Clean, comfortable and the rooms were spacious with a/c, good hot water and nice balconies/patios and the pool and landscaped areas are nice. They have some room to improve, in that this place has so much potential, but it feels like they're working on it.

Lugar limpio, con estacionamiento, alberca, nevera, aire acondicionado, agua caliente y a 15 minutos caminando de la playa, cerca de zona restaurantes y casa de cambio, atención excelente de Emilio y de gran ayuda con reservaciones de tours, no es lujoso pero tiene lo necesario para pasarla bien en Bayahibe.

The owner and staff are amazing people. The food at the Italian restaurant is so tasty. The beach is about 15 minutes walk. I’ll definitely come back!

L’hôtel est très bien situé, à 5 min à pieds de la plage de Dominicus (la meilleure pour nous) et dans la rue commerçante. La chambre que nous avions, donnant sur la piscine, était calme. Toute l’équipe est agréable et serviable. Le restaurant est très bon. L’unique bémol est la propreté des sols.

Despite hotel fire, it was nice.

I was only able to stay 1 night do to a destructive fire that happened the day after my arrival. It was a nice hotel, staff was very friendly despite my minimal comprehension and ability to speak the local language. I could be persuaded to return of the hotel was restored and necessary fire suppression upgrade measures where made.

Diamond in the ruff

The room had a frige,large comfortable and sofa bed. It was an unexpected pleasure. The pool was nice and their restaurant was delicious.walking distance to the beach and horseback is very close.

No frills, comfortable, and pleasing hotel.

For those who do not know the area, this hotel is located directly to the east of the entrance to Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. To get to the beach, you have to walk down the street (Av Eladia) and then turn onto the public beach. It's about a 10 minute walk, and the street is generally clean. The people who own the shops along the street are very loud and bother you to buy something each time you walk by. Unless you're planning on actually buying something, ignore them at all costs! They'll drag you into the shops and give you rum to sip and pester you. The public beach is so-so. The water is clean and gorgeous, but the sand is full of sticks and cigarette butts. Vendors can be found along the beach. We weren't sure where to buy food in the little town of Bayahibe, but a few places had bread, jam, drinks, etc. A few restaurants are also present, but be aware that meat, cheese, and things like chocolate are expensive in US standards. The resort beaches are phenomenal however, and you can walk along the shore (DR law prevents resorts from blocking off their beaches). However if you get too far inland you might be kicked out if you don't have one of their orange wristbands (you can buy a day pass at viva wyndham to access the resort). If you came for the beach, sun, and to relax without any frilly delicacies, this is the place to go. Also, cute, tasty, and inexpensive italian restaurant is inside the hotel! Plenty of excursions to book from shops nearby as well.
