PERFECT WINE COUNTRY LOCATION!

The casita is well located and perfect for one or two couples. This is a very rural area and super quiet. The ensuite masters are on separate floors for maximum privacy. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to prepare meals with a seemingly endless supply of coffee. I think that this might be the best location for access to the towns, wineries and some great restaurants. This was a super good value and our hosts were great and super attentive when needed.

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts

The location of the property in the rolling hills is amazing! You'll be staying in the Casita but the host opens up his backyard and pool/spa to any guests. Perfect spot to relax and/or enjoy some wine tasting nearby.

Life Is Good at Hidden Hills Rd

Amazing Wine Country Guest House

Amazing property with gorgeous views only minutes from Los Olivos and Solvang. The pool and bocce were great. Hosts were super communicative and pleasant to meet with. Not intrusive at all. Really made us feel at home while we were there. Highly recommend.

Perfect Stay!

This property was so lovely in every way. The perfect place for two friends with two small pups. Tons of privacy between the upstairs and downstairs bedrooms but super cozy and comfortable in between. The views were so pretty and although I do enjoy staying closer to downtown Solvang, the spaciousness was so appreciated and still close to everything. Loved it!!!

Lovely property - like the shire or ireland! very clean and comfortable. didn't get a chance to try the pool or jacuzzi as it was rainy during our stay. Smaller 2nd BR is below main floor with outside stairway. Our hosts were very accommodating and communicative.

Bicyclists' Paradise

Location and ambiance were perfect. LOUD frogs at night (in February) were enjoyable. View to the east for sunrise and moonrise was beautiful. Perfect place to start bike rides in many directions. Close to dining and food markets. We stayed for the month of February and couldn't be happier. Now it's back to a blizzard in Plumas County!

A lovely getaway

I booked this as a surprise for my husband's 60th birthday. Family met us there and the four of us loved the place. Secluded, but close to wherever we needed to be. Was lovely to sit outside, enjoy the view and play a little bocce ball or dip our feet in the pool. Delightful! The host was very responsive to my questions leading up to our stay. And when the coffee maker conked out, he promptly delivered a brand new one (plus there was a Keurig for back up)!

Clean, very attractive building, nice attention to detail. Eg: drip (coffee grinder, cone, paper filters) and Keurig coffee, reading lights in upstairs bed. Balcony is great for bird watching, enjoying the view. QUIET, unless there might be some nose due to neighboring ranch activity during the day. Unfortunately the second bedroom is only accessible from outside. Quite a long staircase.

Great location

The house was nice and the property was beautiful! The unit worked great for us since it was two separate apartments, one on the top level and one on the bottom level. The view was amazing and super peaceful with sheep grazing on the property next door. The only thing we did not like was the pictures and description were a little misleading. From the pictures, the guest house being rented looks further away from the house. The property is honestly maybe 20 feet from the main house garage. The pool and spa are on the main house property, where the owners live, and if you go in, you are staring directly into their house. Yes, they are super nice and inviting; however, it is super awkward to walk onto someone's property while they are home and enjoy the pool while looking into their home. The description and the house pictures on the website do not mention that they are on their property through the back gate. I feel like if that is more explained better on the VRBO listing, then it would not be so shocking when you are actually there.

A memorable vacation!

A good experience! Glad we stayed here. We hope to return. Comfortable, efficient, private, peaceful, and scenic. Mediterranean simplistic yet elegant chic modern house with a wine country ambiance. A well-designed house. All modern appliances and conveniences. Wonderful sunrise / eastern view of rolling hills and mountains. Several vineyards are visible. King bed on top level is very comfy – medium firmness. Spacious shower with plenty of hot water. Easy to use gas fireplace. Generally clean – could use some cleaning or replacement of LR and BR carpets. Minor bug issues. Bottom floor, with a separate entrance, is a small cozy studio apartment with a bedroom and bathroom, with a small kitchenette in the bedroom. We did not use this area. Gracious and quick responses from host David to address issues and provide tourism guidance about wineries and other sights in the area. Thanks David – we really appreciated your graciousness and help. Good value in low to mid $200s per night. Things to consider: • High Fees (cleaning, VRBO fees, other fees). About 25% of the total rental cost. • You need to do some cleaning before leaving – trash and dishes. • Rental agreement disclaimer – VRBO and hosts take no responsibility if something is not working, so there is no credit (refund) for anything that is a problem. It is in the contracts. In Summary – An enjoyable house, host, and area to consider in your travels. Would recommend it. Happy Trails!
