"A very nice place to stay as a base whilst visiting around the beautiful island. Its not far from Funchal by BOLT taxi service and close to airport too, so not difficult to travel to the main centre."

Eight hours before he had no one, so it wasn’t like I blocked others from coming. I just felt he was rude and not at all flexible."

"The apartment was clean and in a very good position for getting around the island. It would have been helpful to have a few more details about the property e.g Wi-Fi code and the crockery and cutlery could have been a little more extensive . Nice undercover seating area where we were able to eat our meals and enjoy the lovely weather . The road is very steep !!"

"Carolina was a great host! The place was clean and so peaceful up on the mountain side near the airport. Under 30 min drive to the main trails or Funchal. The only downside is the roads leading up to the property were quite steep and narrow-you definitely have to be a decent driver. Cannot wait to stay there again. "

"The house is lovely and in a beautiful location right on the coast overlooking the ocean. Complete with sun loungers on the deck, and table & chairs to eat outside too. We were central for reaching the attractions we wanted to see such as the gardens and for walks, outdoor centre down the road if wanting to book activities, restaurants close by also. "

"Wonderfull hotel with amazing garden. Nice staff. Clean. Very good breakfast. We were not that impressed with the dinners we had on the hotel, we prefered the other restaruants just outside the hotel instead. Be prepared for many stairs and some steep pathways, as the rest of the island. "

"No parking in the resort, only 7 minutes away walking uphill, most uncomfortable with suitcases even if you dropped off the suitcases you would still need to walk the distance and pay. I dislike separate beds in a couples room Tough toilet paper No shampoo conditioner supplied, only a kind of soap 1 small chocolate bar in the room, for 2.5 euros, not fun or enough Receptionist quite unkind, makes no effort to be kind or friendly "
