I really wanted to give this 5 stars, as a vacation rental owner myself, I definitely get it and want to support others, but the Vacasa services made it hard and Ive got to be transparent. I'll start off by saying the unit is beautiful, the woman that works at the front desk is extremely nice, pleasant, and helpful. Those two things within itself deserve 5 stars, but here was the downfall. Any time I had a question even before the rental began I was taken all over the world with Vacasa, there was no direct contact. The one lady that emailed me about the property took days to respond, anytime I had a question, it took forever to get a response. There was no pack n play in the unit nor could they provide one, so I had to rent a crib for the week - that was an additional $100 from a third party. The "included beach chair set up" was also confusing. I called in advance to see if I needed to reserve them - Vacasa told me that they weren't included, I had to send them screen shots of the description so they could first understand that yes it was included, then all they could do was give me the set up companies number. I called them and was told it was first come first serve, so basically you have to go to the beach 30 min before set up begins and stand in a long line to get a good spot. I simply wish someone could've shared the process before we arrived without me having to dig for it. I just felt I had to do a lot of work on the front end to get the answers needed to properly plan my stay. I confirmed in advance that pool towels were included, when we arrived there were two towels, once again I had to deal with Vacasa's main line to get additional towels for a family of five. They didn't have any on site and said they had to get them from a warehouse, so we got the remaining towels late in the evening on the first day. When we walked into the unit it looked really clean, but what I did notice when we lifted a toilet for one of our sons to use was that there was urine all on the seat, so I think they missed that between cleanings. Like I said, really great unit, but the service itself was a challenge so just be prepared for that and expect delays when corresponding with Vacasa.
