Hidden Gem!!!

Loved this cozy guesthouse. Ample space to stretch out, perfect location on a quiet corner lot. The balcony is a perfect spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Kitchen is stocked with the essentials. Bed could have be a little more comfy but that’s a tiny flaw in a long list of ideal comforts. We will be back again!

It has a private drive, it provides plenty room for two , it is beautifully decorated , has a well equipped kitchen with major appliances and conveniently located to Town Center and the beach. A great get away

The property is lovely and is well located. It is two blocks from the beach and just across the street from the adult pool and from the fitness center. The property was clean and in good condition. There is a grocery store about two miles away.

Perfect size for my husband and me. We’ve been to Seaside for the past 10 years but always with our kids. This was the first year it was just the two of us. Quiet, beautiful, clean. Short walk to beach and town. Would recommend! We should have paid more attention to the parking and access directions :)) But we didn’t so it took us a minute to figure out which door and parking assignment. But as soon as I reached out to management, they were there in minutes!!

Reviewer Comments: Once Upon A Tide is in an excellent location, almost in the center of Seaside but on the quieter end of Seaside Ave. When we weren’t out biking, walking, beaching, shopping or swimming (the adult pool is 40 steps away), we spent most of our time enjoying the 2nd floor porch off the bedroom. It is a comfortable place to people watch, read or just enjoy the beautiful surrounding scenery. The house is well appointed, comfortable and stylish and had everything we needed or wanted. There was no one staying in the larger portion of the house so we had the sole use of the ground level outdoor seating area and enjoyed that space - its string lighting adds to the magical feel of the neighborhood. The corner lot where this house is located is one of the largest in Seaside so it feels very grand. We’ve stayed in 6 or 7 different locations in Seaside but this one was definitely our favorite and will stay here again when our plans call for just a one bedroom. One thing to note: we arrived after dark and not knowing the layout of the property we couldn’t find our entrance door with key pad very easily. I tried calling the after hours number for the rental agency but got no response. We finally found our entry door (it’s on the back side of the house). Other than that issue, and not including our pool passes in our welcome packet, the property management company was good and their communication better than expected .

The king bed and small bath in the loft upstairs allows for good living space in the downstairs area. We are early risers, so the sun shining in the tall second story vaulted ceiling and windows was welcome, but if you are late sleepers and like it dark in the morning, you might not love this. The apt. Is spacious and the kitchen/living areas are very comfortable. There is an upstairs balcony and a large outdoor seating area to enjoy this huge corner lot in a prime location of Seaside; walkable to the beach pavilion and town center. Management was outstanding and responsive- and even got us on the beach when we arrived sooner than expected. Everything was clean and very comfortable. This felt much bigger than a typical one bedroom or carriage house situation. Would definitely return!
