"Me parece un sitio tranquilo, bonito, muy bien surtido. El anfitrión (Carlos) estuvo pendiente en todo momento de nosotros que no nos faltara de nada. Además nuestro perro se lo pasó genial. Recomiendo este alojamiento."

"El entorno de la casa tiene muchísimo encanto y eso compensa la dificultad para llegar. Hay que tener cuidado si se intenta acceder de noche con las indicaciones del GPS. Algunos colchones son mejorables y se sale a veces el agua de la ducha pero en general, muy bien todo."

"Passámos 4 noites na casa da Oliveira e apesar do frio que se fez sentir a climatização da casa é muito boa e estivemos sempre confortáveis. Os miúdos adoraram brincar no exterior e interagir com os animais da quinta. Como aspetos menos positivos a limpeza (alguns locais da cozinha menos acessíveis como as prateleiras de cima dos armários e alguns utensílios como o bule e a torradeira não estavam limpos e prontos a utilizar). "We spent seven days here in April, 2023. This is a lovely village with everything you might need for a great time. Restaurants were exceptionally good. The people were very nice and outgoing. Many spoke English. Lots of good walking in the area. We'd go back to this area in a heartbeat. If you go don't miss nearby Marvao castle and village. As for the house, there are 38 steep steps from the lower level up to the terrace. The middle flight is steepest and has no handrail. The house is 3 levels...

"We stayed for 3 nights in 44 degrees. The rooms were cool, the pool very welcomed. Supermarket was about 6 Kms away, easy drives to marvao and castello de vide, both recommended historical hilltop towns."

Marvelous stay in isolated Marvao

"What an exceptional spot! Marvao is incredible. The pousada is in a perfect location, and overlooking the plains below, it has a fabulous view. Our room, although small, was quite commodious and had historic traditional Portuguese furniture. Our dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable, although the dinner was not “gourmet”. Would we stay there again? Absolutely."

"The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Castelo de Vide. The building is dated but everything is very clean and tidy. The room we stayed in was very basic. Few electrical outlets, no cupboards or drawers for our clothes and poor lighting, but the heating worked and the shower was wonderful. The breakfast served was outstanding. This hotel is good value for the money."
