Lava Stone was such a beautiful stay! Kira was absolutely amazing and helped us with everything we needed. Our room was gorgeous, and the view was honestly breathtaking. We didn’t even realize we’d be staying right at the harbour, and it ended up being the perfect location. So many of the restaurants we wanted to try were literally just a few steps away! If you’re planning a trip to Santorini, I highly recommend staying here. The location, views, room and hospitality were all amazing.

Lava Stone: This place is a hidden gem. Beautiful rooms, stunning views, 1-2 minutes walk to fantastic restaurants. The rooms are beautifully done up, elegant and tasteful. Really stunning views! The host Rena is delightful and made us feel at home right away. She organized taxis for us whenever we needed to go anywhere. I give this place 5 stars. We did not want to leave! Note: the area around Ammoudi Bay entails walking up and down a lot of steep and rocky steps so wear sensible footwear. If you’re into hiking and can do steep steps, the landmark Oia castle and historic village (with the iconic blue domes) is just a 15 minute walk away.

The place was great, everything was very clean enjoy the extra amenities they provide such a slippers, coffee and a delicious Greek wine coplementary. The room had a unique Greek style and an amazing bay view thru the window and balcony. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside to it was the hill and stairs you have to go thru to get there, no car access. If you are fit it won't be an issue.

We had a lovely stay. Vickie was wonderful, she reached out to us the day we were arriving to make sure we had a transfer from the airport. Thankfully she did, bc it was raining and the location of the hotel, while stunning, we did not realize it was down in the bay. The easiest way to access it, especially with luggage, is to be driven down to Ammoudi Bay. There are 254 steps that take you up to Oia, its a beautiful stroll, especially after a meal, or you can Uber there. The hotel is near at least 3 delicious restaurants, all with stunning views. We were in Room 1 at the top, and it felt like a nice retreat from the crowds.

Stay at this hotel for the picturesque view! Great place for a short stay. I say short stay only because it is a journey getting to your room as far as stairs. Pack very light, as you will absolutely not want to carry much up to your room. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The hotel is very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our balcony and the view. We enjoyed dinner at one of the restaurants on the waterfront. Vicki was very pleasant and helpful at reception. I would advise to shuttle to and from hotel. We were very lucky to get street parking. But apparently the street nearby is usually not accessible.

The rooms are beautiful with a gorgeous view. The walk and climbing the stairs up to the resort was a little tricky as I just had knee surgery but definitely worth it for the view and accommodation. The beds are extremely firm if you are used to a softer bed.

The property is beautiful, amazing view & Vicki, our host, was incredibly helpful. I highly recommend this property, but there is one hitch - you have to walk up 10 min. of steep stairs to get to town. It's right next to the water & the town is way up high. There's only expensive restaurants down by the water. It's a 20 euro taxi ride to get your luggage up the hill, & that's where thebus stop is. That's where everything is. So unless you want to walk up & down uneven steps & get a taxi to get anywhere instead of the bus, get a place in town. Vicki was fantastic though - almost worth all the extra effort & money just to meet her. 😊
