This is a lovely property high on a hill overlooking Sanxexno (sahn-SHEN-show). Starting more generally, it's a great location for exploring this part of NW Spain. The beaches and numerous restaurants of Sanxexno are about a five minute drive way. I suspect few will want to make the steep climb to the house back from the beach, but there are two major parking garages near the beach. Other spots to explore -- like Pontevedra and Combarro -- are an easy drive. The house itself is perfect for a family or small group. The main floor has a living space, kitchen, bathroom, a large bedroom, and a quite small bedroom. Upstairs is an open loft with plenty of room for reading, working, boardgames, sleeping, etc.One side of the living room is effectively glass, mainly comprising sliding glass doors that lead out onto a large deck. A copse of trees front the deck and thus provides shade, privacy, and the house's main description. Aside from some lovely flowers and ferns and a trellis of grapes, the property features a classic example of an hórreo, a type of antique granary ubiquitous to the area.It was hot outside during our stay but shade and cross breezes kept the house comfortable. The house was clean and had everything we needed as far as amenities including reliable wi-fi, a dishwasher, and clothes washer. Finally, the property manager was quite genial and responsive. It's a great place to stay.
