The harbour of Sassnitz is just a 10-minute walk away, where you can enjoy a beautiful walk along the chalk coast. The centre of the harbour town of Sassnitz, with its many shops and restaurants, is also just a 10-minute walk away. Sassnitz is situated directly on the southern edge of the Jasmund National Park with its beech forests and the unique chalk coast. The chalk cliff "Königsstuhl", 117 metres high, is a popular vantage point for tourists. Sassnitz is a harbour town, tourist resort and the town includes the "Sassnitz ferry port" with its international ferry routes to Trelleborg (Sweden), Bornholm (Denmark), Klaipeda (Lithuania) and other Baltic Sea ports.
