Cottage Experience
Blueberry Cottage was a comfortable stay for us while in Saugatuck for some recreation and a family wedding. The cottage was clean, cheery and had fun amenities (table tennis, fire pit, picnic tables and grill) to use. A walking path to downtown directly across the road was convenient if you enjoy walking. The location was perfect for a nearby wedding we attended and it was close to hike to the Sand Dunes to Lake Michigan at the State Park. A fun get-a-way with a little something for all ages to enjoy together! Our host, John, was very thoughtful and wonderful to rent from.

Wonderful cottages in Saugatuck
We stayed at these cottages with 2 other couples. They are in a great location with an easy walk to town. The cottages were spotless and well appointed and the fire pit was wonderful on a cool fall evening. We are planning a return trip next fall.

Lovely Stay!

Anniversary getaway
Our reason for our stay was to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We ended up being out exploring what Saugatuck and other nearby towns had to offer, so not much time was spent at the cottage. Overall, the ease of booking and cleanliness of the property were great! The only complaints we had are that the beds were very uncomfortable and also they had a dehumidifier running all the time that was super noisy. Other than that it was a great place to stay!

Thank you kindly for leaving a review. These beds are very comfortable, the mattresses highly rated, and carefully picked to provide our guests a comfortable rest. Please read the many reviews where guests went out of their way to comment on their great rest in our very comfortable beds. Their is one dehumidifier located in the basement and not near the bedrooms on the main floor. If for some reason you are in the basement and it is loud you can.press the large power button on the dehumidifier and it will turn off. Thank you kindly for your review. We enjoyed our stay in Saugatuck- nice quiet location. We took the nice walking path to downtown and enjoyed the businesses and restaurants there. The cottage is well stocked with games and a nice ping pong table.

Family Getaway
I cannot recommend this cute cottage enough!! The owner, John, went above and beyond to help me throughout the entire booking process as well as checking up on us during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. This is also a such a beautiful little area and the location is so close to the beach, shops, etc. As a first-time Vrbo user, my experience was beyond awesome. I can’t wait to come back again soon!

Sweet cottage close to town
From communication with John to our arrival with very detailed directions and access to the property, the owner responded quickly. The place is impeccably clean (and I am a clean freak), airy and spacious. The yard provided space for the grandkids to run around and we were about a mile from Saugatuck. Would suggest that you mention that the local dollar store (across the road) has all the basic groceries needed. We would use this property again.

Cute clean cottage with all the amenities we needed to make for a great family vacation. We biked to downtown, walked to a fabulous dinner at Clearbrook grille, and drove minutes away to catch the dune rides (twice!). We would happily come back another time...

Mini family getaway
Perfect stay for our mini family getaway! Property was very clean and comfortable, felt very homey. We were able to enjoy the beautiful firepit and had a ton of fun playing ping pong in the garage! Loved the very close towns of Saugatuck and Douglas. Oval Beach was gorgeous and the kids had so much fun playing there! Everything you might need right at your fingertips. I don't think we had to travel further than 5 miles for anything we needed, so much to keep you busy! Amazing restaurants, breweries, free local music at the park, dune rides 1 minute down the road, etc. Everyone was extremely friendly! We will be coming back again!

This cottage was clean, cute, and cozy. It was the perfect fit for our family getaway. I loved having all of the convinces of home while on vacation. The cottage had everything you could imagine. My son was especially excited to have a fire at night so he could roast marshmallows. I will definitely be booking again in the future.

A bit outside of the central hub of Saugatuck, but quaint.
The property manager was super responsive when we needed the grill cleaned. The "backyard" was big and added bonus of the firepit and an invite each night from the host was great. This property is a row of 4 units akin to an old motel property, so the other guests are close by and share the backyard and fire pit. If you are looking for more privacy and a stand-alone experience this might not work. The inside of the unit is super cute with coordinated decor and many updates for a cozy lake house feel.

Thank you kindly for this wonderful review. Each of the three cottages have their own large private patio in back with their own private grill and 8 foot picnic table. Only these three cottages share the very large and beautifully landscaped backyard with the large fire pit and additional outdoor seating. The fourth one does not use this space. Our fine local staff takes great pride in keeping all three of our cottages very clean and well maintained for the enjoyment of our valued guests.

Family Weekend
We have family in Saugatuck. Every summer we visit for a 4 day weekend. We have used this cottage for two years now. This year we booked the Blueberry Cottage. These cottages are the perfect size and perfect location between all family. Always clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

Very clean and nice rental. Location was great, only minutes from downtown and the beach. The only thing we didn't like was the bedrooms not having any dressers or TVs.

Thank you kindly for your review. Every bedroom here has a large built in floor to ceiling clothing closet with shelves. This large and convenient spot provides ample space in your bedroom for cloths or other items and also has large sliding mirror doors.

Wonderful place to stay!
My best friend from college and I had a wonderful stay at the Blueberry Cottage. The cottage is just as pictured if not a bit better because it was spotlessly clean. Communication and check in was easy and great. The furniture and beds are comfortable. It is clear that the owner has put a lot of thought into the comfort and convenience of guests throughout the cottage. Our only wish was that there was a box of tissues!

The cottage was very clean, well equipped and comfortable. Washer/Dryer is a bonus. Did not hear any noise from neighbors in attached cottages. Only improvement we would recommend would be satellite or cable TV, just has streaming service.

Our stay at the “Blue House” (as our two year old called it) was very nice! The place was clean and the layout was perfect with our two children. It truly felt like a home away from home and was in a good location to lots of nearby attractions. We are already planning our next trip!

My husband and I are traveling thru Michigan for the first time. We are staying in several small towns and this was our first stop. We have stayed in numerous VRBOs around the country and this place was above and beyond for cleanliness!! It was roomy and the bed that we slept in was very comfortable. We loved the paved walking trail across from the VRBO that you can access behind the white mailboxes. It walks along nice neighborhoods with beautiful homes and it felt very safe. Saugatuck is a very cute, artsy town with plenty of eateries. We especially enjoyed driving to Oval Beach. This was our first time to see Lake Michigan and we picked up some cool rocks to commemorate the experience!! We would ❤️ to come back and stay again !!

A nice weekend
Definitely an excellent weekend getaway, definitely would work best for couples. A little excessive on the night lights lol but overall a really nice stay. Also it’s 5 minutes from Biggby coffee so that’s a plus!

Thank you kindly for your review. Love Biggby Coffee's fast convenient drive through too. There are also some wonderful coffee shops in downtown Saugatuck. I appreciate your input on the nightlights. Early on we had requests for more nightlights so we added a few more to make sure that if anyone got up in the middle of the night they could easily find their way to the bathroom or kitchen. These simple small outlet nightlights can easily be unplugged by guests if they prefer less lights as well. We appreciate you choosing to stay with us here at Saugatuck Cottage Suites. This cabin was exactly as described. It’s a short walk into town and we enjoyed the proximity to activities. If the weather was warmer we would have utilized more of the back yard things (grill, fire pit, etc.). The inside of the cabin was cute and clean. Beds were comfy. Overall we had a great weekend.
