We had 3 couples in for the weekend and the Tate house was perfect. Plenty of room and well furnished. A 5 mins walk to all the restaurants and shops. It was perfect!
Very walkable to downtown shops (4 mins). The
home feels like a cottage in an enchanted forest. There are beautiful trees and natural plants on the grounds. The inside of the home is modern/clean and has a great layout in terms of rooms and open concept perfect for group gatherings! This is a very welcome addition to options for a stay in Saugatuck. Also, it is all ages friendly/accessible with only one level and it has a walk in shower.
The host was very welcoming and helpful. The house is great: location close to main Saugatuck, kitchen fully stocked like at home, ample parking, roomy dining area, welcoming back patio.
House was clean, location was perfect. Parked when we got there and didn't have to drive until we left, walked to shops and dinner every day. A great house for a couple's getaway with lots of place to lounge.
Our stay at the Tate house was great. The property is well kept and the location is fantastic. The host was very easy to communicate with. The house was clean and it was easy to find what we needed. The beds were very supportive and comfortable.
Cozy cottage located steps from downtown Saugatuck. The property is in a charming, quiet neighborhood. The home was very clean and spacious. Would definitely stay here again!
This property is in very good condition and has excellent lighting. It is just 2 blocks from Butler Street, the main shopping venue in Saugatuck. The house sits on a well shaded lot and was a refreshing retreat from the 90 degree temperatures back home.
Tate House was a very good choice for four friends who were celebrating 45 years of friendship. The home is extremely clean, and the main living areas are spacious. The kitchen is large and new and contains everything needed for cooking and dining. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of storage. The house is also just a few minutes’ walk to town, which is a tremendous benefit. Guests should be aware, though, that there are no grocery stores or drugstores in town, so be sure to stack up before you get there.)The house would benefit from a little more attention to the little touches that make a difference to guests. There is only one tiny TV, the walls are bare, and the rugs are small and a bit of a tripping hazard. The bathrooms are also small and definitely need updating, while some plusher towels would be most welcome, as would nicer toiletries. The backyard has a lot of potential, but could use some loving care.Despite these last comments, we would definitely recommend Tate House to others.
