「Lovely cabin and area. We made it just in time for a beautiful sunset and wish we could have stayed longer. I did not receive any information of Wi-fi access, and while I loved being unplugged it would have been helpful if there was some emergency contact info located at the cabin, since the spot was more remote.」

「The house was very clean and stocked with ample supplies to make our stay comfortable. We were able to walk to restaurants, breweries and shopes.」

「Once inside this property shines. Giving plenty of space for a family of four or even more, with pull out couch. The home was well spread out and the second sitting room was a great little area. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and even grill came with extra propane tank if needed. The hosts are great and thought about everything you would need. 」

「My family of 6 was midway through a weeklong road trip that included parts of the Lake sSuperior circle and the upper peninsula of Michigan. The location was perfect for a couple days to stop and rest and spread out before we headed back out. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our host was very responsive and welcoming. This apartment is in the basement of the home that the host resides in, but we were never burdened by noises from upstairs. 」

「Boat was a good addition 」

「My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!」

「This was our first time staying at this property. The owner went above and beyond, making sure that my brothers and I were accommodated while visiting Sault Ste. Marie. The house was clean and suited perfectly for our yearly reunion. We were asked for minimal effort when checking out. I would strongly recommend staying at this property, we know that we will.」

We spent most our weekend soaking up the sun on the lake in the kayaks and rock hunting on the beach. Truly a breathtaking house that shows so much time that must have gone in to its creation.
