This is an all natural, off-grid property with natural mountain spring water from the tap. With cooler temperatures at 1500', especially at night, open ventilation and fans keep you comfortable. No A/C. All rooms are on one level, with loft bedroom up a flight.
GUEST ACCESS: 4WD access. Allow 15 minutes from the coastal highway. Ascend 1500 feet over 3 miles to the coastal ridge, passing teak and bamboo forests and huge vistas, on a county maintained dirt/gravel road. For steep and rough spots, reserve a high-clearance 4x4, such as Toyota Prada, Nissan Patrol, Mitsubishi Montero. These are readily available at affordable rates when reserved in advance. It's a little extra effort for astounding views! There is ample covered parking at the house.

EXTRA GUESTS: Seasonally, we can accommodate larger groups by adding the Cabina. This is a private, detached building behind the main house. (King bed, bathroom, 2nd kitchen). Must be reserved in advance (additional fee applies).
INTERACTION WITH GUESTS: The main house and pool are exclusive for your use. There are no other rental groups during your stay.
Our offsite local management team is available to escort you to the house, and assist you with your travel bookings (car rental, tours, etc.).
As is customary in large properties in Costa Rica, behind the main house there is a separate unit with its own kitchen - Cabina - for use by our seasonal onsite manager to care the grounds and gardens, as is a wealth of information about the local flora, hidden waterfalls and swimming holes and more!
