「We loved the outdoor fire pits! We don’t have that at home so it is very nice to enjoy a bonfire with the sounds of waves near us. It was very relaxing 10/10! The staff here were very very lovely. The grill was good although we were getting very tired and was waiting for our check for about 15 mins. Otherwise everything was amazing!」

「The hotel was clean, our room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable. The front desk staff was decently friendly, but the food, the continental breakfast was awful.」

「We were disappointed that we were on the lowest level as a couple in a Master suite. It did not seem special like the view from up above would feel. Also up above seemed like it would have more light. But we were told by receptionist that only 2 and more bedrooms were up above. The little patio was dirty, unswept. The office/lobby/ cafe was closed in the evening so no where to get waterbottles, snacks or any food. We did love eating dinner at Bluefin down the road but felt like there...

「What a perfect setting in the woods and close to everything ie. Lutsen and Grand Marais. A few initial small glitches; however, Mr. Smothers was MORE than accommodating especially given it was Thanksgiving day. Pool was closed; however, the public pool in Grand Marais was open. A setting were several quiet walks with family was very relaxing and therapeutic! I HIGHLY recommend THE HIBERNATION HOUSE! 」
