Stressful on checkout day

Has good potential. Pool/slides were not clean - however sinple but fun. Checkout time is 10 and IMPOSSIBLE to get later check-out time. If you like sleeping in and not stress, choose another hotel. Check out our YouTube videos soon.

Some really good parts: kids club, pool, ski school, horse rides for kids. All great. But two big downsides. Firstly, it seemed like they were trying to squeeze every penny out of us, like a budget airline would. The all-inclusive was not really - you had to pay for coffees at lunchtime for instance - and staff would come over and try to upsell. Same with alcohol: all had to be paid for as extra, and staff were trying to flog it as soon as we sat down. It makes the place feel a bit cheap and money-grabbing. It was so odd for these things to not be included in all-inclusive. Very different to other all-inclusive places I’ve been in the past. Then one other thing: it’s the first place I’ve stayed since at least the pandemic that didn’t have a smart-TV. Most people are there with their kids, so have to stay in the room from relatively early each evening, so the very old-fashioned TVs are not ideal - this would be such an easy thing to upgrade. Also, there were some really odd design things. There is a baby monitor system, but it attaches to the phone line, and the phone socket is in the adults’ room not the kids’ room. So weird. And if we had wanted to watch TV, it was mounted on the wall of the children’s room. Such a bizarre place to put it as it’s going to wake light-sleeping kids up. Literally anywhere else in the room would have been better. So yeah. Some really good bits, but I don’t think I would recommend to friends as the above downsides took the polish off.

We stayed for 4 nights with our 7 and 4 year olds and had a great time. We particularly loved the outside area with the pond and waterslide, with plenty of nice places to relax for adults nearby. We went horse riding and walking near to the hotel. We will definitely be back!

This was our first time staying at a kinderhotel and this place didn’t disappoint. There were endless activities to keep the kids happy and childcare available for all ages from 9am -9pm. Everything was so well thought through from the design of the rooms which had a built in bedroom for the kids and the sink heights - one for grown ups and one for kids. The kids pool had two depths which were perfect for my 2 & 4 yr olds meaning we could relax while they splashed about. The outdoor slide was a particular highlight for my boys, I think they’d have played on that all day if we’d let them. The dinners were so easy with buffets for the kids meaning no hanging around waiting for their food. And the quality of the food was top notch. Staff couldn’t be more helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble. Without doubt the most relaxing and fun holiday we’ve had as a family. And all this in the beautiful setting of the Austrian mountains with so much to do and see by the nearby lakes. Thank you for having us Familienparadies Sporthotel Achensee.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön eingerichtet und auch sauber. Frühstücksbufett und Abendessen sehr gut. Beim Kinderbufett sowie Mittagsbufett und auch bei der Nachmittagsjause sehr wenig Auswahl. Schwimmbad nur für Kleinkinder!

An absolutely wonderful family hotel. Renovated and clean rooms with good food and plenty to do for the kids. Spa area with pools is really nice, staff is welcoming and attentive. Would come back and recommend to a friend.

Idéal pour les familles

Dès l'accueil sur place par Julia, tout s'est déroulé de manière idéale dans cet hôtel familial, avec en priorité l'aspect culinaire, très à la hauteur et fourni, dans la bâtisse voisine en bois de forme chalet, avec la chance de rencontrer la très gentille et serviable Nadia. Tout est parfait dans ce lieu, vraiment, avec quelques petites remarques constructives éventuelles: le hall d'entrée, très luxueux, est très peu utilisé en hors saison de ski et il faudrait peut-être y aménager des activités pour le rendre vivant, car le bar notamment est fermé. De même, une décoration plus attractive du bassin enfant de la piscine serait sympathique. Nous avons juste regretté de n'être pas informé de la présence d'une boutique tout au sommet du chalet, donc invisible pour qui ne fouine pas, mais c'est certainement un souci de langue lors de la présentation à l'arrivée. Et le prix des cours d'équitation est un brin élevé, compte tenu du coût du séjour qui devrait inclure ce genre d'activité, surtout hors saison quand les vélos à pédales sont inutilisables en raison du froid et les bassins extérieurs sont vides.

Ein toller Urlaub für Eltern und Kleinkind

Ein wunderschönes Hotel für Familien mit Babys, Kleinkindern und Kindern bis 12Jahre (älteren könnte es etwas langweilig werden). Es wurde Pferdereiten, Schwimmunterricht und altersentsprechende Kinder- und Babybetreung (sehr viel nettes und kompetentes Kinderbetreuungspersonal) geboten. Man konnte kostenfrei Kraxn und Fahrräder ausleihen. Kinder hatten ihre eigene Speisekarte (Kinderbesteck vorhanden) - für Babys gibt es eine separate Babyküche, in der man vorhandenes oder mitgebrachtes Essen erwärmen konnte (Mikrowelle, Flaschenwärmer, Wasserkocher, Kühlschrank und Herdplatten). Immer nettes, hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal!!!

Unser Zimmer war eher zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber sehr groß. Es gibt je nach Preis aber schönere Zimmer. Ansonsten war das Hotel aber sehr schön.

Das Gesamtkonzept hat mir sehr gut gefallen, aber leider ist das Sportprogramm wegen Krankheit ganz ausgefallen und es gab keinen Ersatz :(

Ok. Ill start with writing that if there was 10 stars to give i would have give 11. In the 1st day when the hotel receptionist noticed we are late, she called us to ask if we will make it for dinner so she can keep food for us in case we won't. 👍 (the food was great for the adults as for the young ones). The room- wide, clean, great views, equipped with all what family with kids need (they also gives u changing products for babies). There is also special bathrooms for kids and changinv equipped area for babies around the hotel. In the area there is the amazing achen lake and u can rent e-bikes in just 16€ with a basket for the kids to stroll around. The restaurant food is great and the stsff is even better (colin, nadia and rayan- THANKS!). There is indoor and outdoor pools that just inviting u to jump in. Spa in a reasonable prices. Kinderclub which is actually kids dream that become real (for the parents also- there is babycare service for 12 hours a day). They are thinking on the little things such as stairs railings for the little ones, they have free icecream bar, 4 meals a day, carting route and much much more. Thank u very much !!! Waiting for the next time !

Ausnahmlos bester Service in allen Bereichen. Wir waren bereits in vielen 5 Sterne Hotels. Der Service vom Achensee-Team war immer besser. Tolles Ambiente, Überragendes Kinder und Aktivitätenprogramm. Tolles Kinderbuffet und Überragendes Eltern Menü. Das Essen verdient durchweg eine 1. Kleines Manko, welches Architektonisch sicherlich nicht zu beheben ist. Die Belüftung könnte in den Zimmern des 1.OG (Nur da lebten wir, deshalb können wir die anderen Räume nicht bewerten) etwas besser sein. Es muffelt nichts, das ist klarzustellen. Nur es könnte mehr Luft rein kommen. Jedoch, besser als eine nur bedingt regulierbare Klimaanlage wie in dem 5 Sterne Haus zuvor. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Und beim nächsten mal bleiben wir auch länger als 5 Nächte.
