"We came for an April weekend getaway with a group of 18. We were likely the first group since the end of the fall season. The location and home were terrific, and the reservation was smooth. The views are spectacular and the house is an easy drive to both Pentwater and Ludington. Our only concerns were these: Since we were the first after the winter, we were met with mouse droppings on two of the beds in the lower level, but no recent activity of mice. "Decided last minute to spend 3 days with family. Have traveled to Michigan for 30 years but have never visited the Silver Lake area. The area and the house were both hidden gems for our family. The house was very clean and had everything we needed to relax or have fun including private lakefront access a few hundred feet away from the front door. Nice kitchen with spacious counter, huge firepit, outdoor hot water shower, huge yard, and another firepit at the lake for watching beautiful sunsets....

"I wish I could give a rating of 10 and wasn’t limited to 5 stars! The house itself is immaculate and well stocked for all of your needs! You can easily sleep 6 comfortably using the air mattress in the living area while still having use of the room (this trip was 2 of us but we are a big family so I was scoping it out). There is ample parking and the frontage is well maintained as well. The decking outside with seating is great as well as the landings on your way down the stairs. The railings...

"This property was within walking distance to pretty much everything. The Art and BBQ Festival was happening the same weekend as our stay. We were able to walk there and back easily. The beach is so close, the dune buggy rentals and the dunes themselves are also very close. It was perfect for our trip!"
