Close-in Beautiful Retreat: Large, Lodge-Like Private Lakefront Setting

Experience instant relaxation as you enter this gorgeous 4,200 sq ft 4-bedroom lakefront guest home near Seattle/Bellevue/Tacoma. Situated on 10 acres and 800 feet of waterfront the property connects to a 42 acre preserved forest to explore. Share stories around the fire-pit at night, BBQ on gas grill and enjoy breathtaking views of meadow and lake. Take a lake tour in sailboat, canoe or rowboat. Bring boots and hike through natural meadow and second-growth forest. Enjoy a floating waterslide while you swim in the clean waters of Shadow Lake. Inside enjoy a large HD plasma Smart TV with Xfinity, ping pong, foosball, gas fireplace and a library of books. Refrigerator/freezer for your food and plenty of pantry space . Put your feet up and stay awhile! (Note the small apartment on left is not part of the rental and is not included in the description herein).

Our rates include up to 8 people. Any additional people are an extra charge-- this includes children. Infants can be excluded from the count.

**We allow OUTDOOR EVENTS ONLY of less than 100 people. Regardless of weather, the entire event must take place outside and must use the provided portable toilets, as there is a septic system not suitable for events. Additional event fees and regulations are also required, and all events are required to be approved ahead of time. We reserve the right to limit the amount of events held on our property.

Please inquire for a customized quote. We will adjust/remove the event fees once we receive communication that an event will not be held.

Beautiful event location

We had our wedding here with about 45 guests, and it was absolutely perfect. Even in the unexpected June rain, the property was gorgeous and our guests were delighted by the wildlife and the fire pit. The house is very spacious and was great for hosting family from out of town. Holly was helpful and accommodating. My only regret is that we didn't book a longer stay - hopefully we'll be back sometime to enjoy the lake without the stress of a wedding.

Family holidays

The place was absolutely perfect for a blended family holiday house, cooking, spending time together, space for the kids to run and play and all with a beautiful view and close to all conveniences. We rented twice and will rent it again.

Beautiful property

The property was even better than expected. We were two families with three kids who always had something to do, from swimming, water sliding, exploring, to playing in the grass field - not to mention indoor activities like ping pong. The home was spacious and very clean. Would definitely stay again.

Great Family Time

Beautiful home to enjoy time with our children and grandchildren and make new memories. Home was really well setup to make our stay comfortable. Holly was responsive and very accommodating. It's set a new high standard for our vacation rentals.

Beautiful getaway!

If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with the family, I highly suggest this spot. Located in a rural area but not too far from town. The closest grocery store is about 6 minutes away.

Great family getaway

This is spacious and beautiful place to spend a few days with family. Even though it was rainy outside, we enjoyed comfortable family time inside with plenty of space for our family of 8 adults and three toddlers. There was a well-stocked kitchen with more pots and pans and utensils than you would ever need but with lots of options. The game room was great — with a ping pong table and fooseball. We had a great time.

Weekend Family Get Together

Wow, the pictures do not do this house and property justice - great spacious home! Host was friendly and responsive. The kids loved the game room. The house was spacious for our whole family and had a large overflow parking lot for us to park in. Super relaxing. Wish we could have been able to test out the lake (too cold this time). Really nice having a high chair and pack n play already there. Would highly reccomend and revisit.

A Wonderful Christmas stay!

Holly was easy to reach and communicate with, as well as, adding very thoughtful details to the home. We arrived to lovely Christmas lights, a cute Christmas tree, a box of cookies on the table, and a 1000 piece puzzle with a bow under the tree. We are now spoiled for any other arrival at any other VRBO! The house is very well stocked for baking, cooking a large meal, and hosting a holiday, Only item I could not find was a mixer but I am sure there is one there as there was literally everything else you could want: roasting rack, blender, cooking pans, large pots for cooking soups/pasta, pie cutters, cookies sheets, roasting pans...etc... it was a great kitchen for cooking with double ovens, a cooktop, microwave, separate coffee bar area with coffee maker ( not Keurig but coffee and filters are provided) and a plug in warm water pot ( for coffee or cocoa- also provided). Each bathroom is well equipped with toilet paper, shampoo and soap. Extra paper towels and toilet paper were provided. Extra towels are available in the laundry room if need. Large garbage and recycling bins are on the side of the driveway for easy disposal. Extra tables and chairs are in the breezeway closet and we used some for a puzzle table which kept some of the adults busy all day with games and puzzles. Beautiful lake view and very quiet and restful setting. Game room was great for teenage nephew who was able to hook up his Xbox on the TV and use the Wifi no problem. Had a cot set up there and with the half bath he was in heaven with his own room with ping pong table, air hockey and Xbox! Wifi was easy to connect to and worked well throughout the house for phones, Xbox and tablets. All agreed it was the perfect house for a restful, family holiday. We would definitely rent again, and hope to again soon! Thank you so much!

Beautiful location and wonderful home!

This property worked very well for our family vacation! We did bring child proof door handle covers to keep the kids from wandering down to the lake without us. We LOVED watching the eagles and swimming in the lake (and the water slide). The owner was very communicative and accommodating!

Amazing Wedding Venue

Holly was amazing and helpful when needed. The house was great and very spacious and beautiful. We used it for our wedding venue and it was perfect. The event fee is very reasonable and you also have the option to have a dance floor and canopy tent added as well. The house has a lot of extra accommodations in case you forget your toiletries or cooking items. Overall great experience and very beautiful house and grounds.

Beautifully kept home in a beautiful location

We booked this home to hold a more intimate Celebration of Life for our mother. The space was perfect for this. Having the gane room kept the younger ones occupied. Having the bedrooms gave family & friends space if they needed breathe or cry in peace. So glad we found this.

Lovely home, but unfortunate shortfalls

The home's size and location fit our needs perfectly. We spent post-holiday time with family and enjoyed the festive tree and cozy fireplace. Rainy and cold weather allowed us to enjoy the ample rec room and ping-pong and foosball tables. The rental experience, though, fell short in three notable ways. 1. The listing states there's a washer and dryer. While true, a hand-scrawled note on the washer said it was to be used only in case of emergency. We'd been traveling for a week and were counting on using it but resigned to wear grubby clothes a few more days. 2. Host communication was disappointing. Messages sent weren't acknowledged and in one case a request was ignored. 3. While the overall home cleanliness was good, the kitchen could use a deep clean (sticky cabinets and knobs) and serious de-cluttering and organizing. Half of what's there could be tossed/replaced. I realize we were renters after a group that required the cleaning crew's full attention but bearing that brunt shouldn't have been our burden. None of this ruined our stay, but we hope future renters fare better than we did.

This place was perfect for our weekend. The house has plenty of room and feels very homey; not like "just a rental". The lake is beautiful. The property is big - kids could run around & others were down by the lake just enjoying the peace. It was so quite & dark - the stars were amazing.
