Extremely disappointing experience
From the very beginning, the check-in process was a nightmare. The instructions provided was unclear, and the code given to access the property did not work. The host did not provide a phone number for immediate assistance, and when I texted her about the issue, it took over an hour for her to respond. Instead of calling me or providing a phone number to resolve the issue promptly, we started exchanging messages, which was very inefficient.
Even if the code had worked, there were multiple issues with the building itself. Not all elevators in the building take you to her unit, and she did not specify this in advance. To access the unit, you needed a key fob, but the host failed to provide clear instructions on how to obtain it, making the check-in process even more frustrating. Additionally, when checking out, you have to leave the key fob inside the unit, which means you cannot access the parking area afterward. This resulted in me being stuck in the elevator at one point and having to call for help to unlock it.
To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the unit was unacceptable. The bed sheets were very dirty, with big stains and hair everywhere. It was clear that the cleaner had simply tried to cover up the dirt instead of washing everything properly. I had to put a towel on the bed to sleep, as I did not feel comfortable sleeping on the dirty sheets.
The lack of communication and cleanliness made for a very unpleasant experience.
