"The motel is a long way out on Beach Road so if you're not prepared to walk into town every day you will need a vehicle. There are restaurants not far away, and it's a short walk to the New World supermarket. I found the room to be very clean, the staff to be very accommodating and the kitchenette well appointed. "

"The place was great! Maybe not for everyone but perfect for anyone with kids or just looking for something a little different. We are seniors but have done a lot of camping and this was glamping at its best. We picked the yurt which had an outdoor kitchen and an external bathroom. Everything felt really authentic yet still very modern. It all was just there as one would expect from a nice hotel but presented in a different way. Kind of a cowboy camp or depression era type of a kitchen outside but with a gas bbq and cook stove and hot running water. Really enjoyed it. The other sites looked like interesting places to stay too. Our bathroom was as perfect as any and yet different. If coming from the south be careful with Apple app directions as it took us to where the road crosses a river only suitable for a 4x4. But from Kaikōura it was easy to get to just off the highway."

" This motel is not fit for purpose. Our room was dirty. Carpets grubby and stained, duvet stained. Outside area full of detritus, and unfinished paving at the front of the room. The host had said that there were only 2 members of staff to clean all the units. The owner was on holiday. This accommodation was well below the standard expected,the photos online were misleading at best, and did not show the poor and dirty quality of the apartment. There were no other rooms available. We left the following morning before 10 am and will be requesting a refund for one night. "
