「I stayed here in 2025 and booked the same place because my 2025 experience was positive. The price is reasonable. My room was excellent (a double and a single bed for one person). There's plenty of food outlets nearby and it is only a short walk from the railway station. I'd definitely book again」

「Room was spacious but basic & could do with a good dust. Kitchen was very basic and i would not have wanted to do more than make a cup of tea in it. 」

「Clean, well equipped, clearly explained key access. But very bad sound insulation. I could hear the person in the room breathe (not even snore!) as if they were in my room. From the room above, you could also hear every single footstep very loudly. Bring ear plugs!」

「It has the sleeping in your mom's basement vibe. Location is excellent with stores, restaurants, pubs and University energy. Easy and safe walk to train stations and bus stops. Easy for ride shares to locate you. Staff is offsite but very responsive; they fixed issues within a day. I think they were the most attentive of any of my UK stays. 「The property is quirky and has a boutique feel in a very attractive building. However the room was not well maintained with a cracked pane of glass in the window, grubby corners, badly marked paintwork. Having booked the room online and seen it - I was not advised that the room was in the attic, and that there were 2 flights of stairs to access it. the second one being very steep and narrow. If I had been given this information I would not have booked this room. The parking was good and well...

「Bad: The drawer and the kettle are not clean...should be improved more. Good: 1. Breakfast is very good and the chef is nice. 2. Bathroom is clean and tidy.」

「Beeping smoke alarm which we had to sort out ourselves, kitchen door off hinges, toilet seat not fixed properly , bathroom door handle missing I do not expect to have to go searching for the electrical fuse box to turn the smoke alarms on. Location was great for our family party in Digbeth, shower was brilliant, place was clean and was quite decent apart from the issues listed above 」

「I have book twin beds rooms for 5 nights but finally they can only offer me double bed rooms. After very long arguing with the front desk staff. They finally can offer me one twin beds room with TV. I am so mad about it」

「Perfect location! Quaint spot just outside of the city centre close to UoB. Sam and reception staff incredibly friendly. We could have chatted for hours if we didn't have an itinerary of things we needed to complete before the end of the day! Would definitely recommend a stay here.」
