Short Notice booking with unprepped apartment
Quite Well equipped but let down by poor service, lack of cleanliness and confusing communications/instructions.
Email sent by vendor gave totally inaccurate instructions on how to gain entry to property (was for a different location it seemed with hindsight). A text had been sent with the correct information, later which I didn't pick-up initially. Given that we arrived in the dark in torrential rain this was more than usually inconvenient. Fortunately other guests helped us gain access and advice on how to check out the correct instructions to obtain the room/property key.
The apartment itself is OK and reasonably appointed for what it is, except it lacks various basics in the kitchen - no cutlery or crockery (plates, etc). Only one set of towels for a double room. Also signs of a lack of maintenance - bathroom tap and shower need fixing soon to prevent substantial problems.
However the worst aspect was lack of cleanliness/preparation. My wife was very unimpressed by the state of the bathroom in particular which didn't seem to have been cleaned adequately in some time. Likewise, the bedding did not seem clean/prepared from use by previous occupants - something of a downer to say the least. With more attention to service and cleanliness this would be a much better prospect for an enjoyable stay.
