“We really enjoyed our stay in Otavalo. The decoration in the hostal is really pretty, we liked it, our room was cosy. The personal were always available and helpful. Food was really good. “Lovely, easy, quiet stay for someone who speaks little Spanish and a quick night stay. Staff was eager to do their best to help when I didn’t understand. The breakfast is unlike any hotel breakfast in the states. Excellent! ”

“We had a beautiful time at Cananvalle. The staff are very attentive and friendly. It is a place quite a bit outside Ibarra and without transport you have to rely on taxis to get around. Saying that the local taxis are cheap and safe. ”

“Sehr schön gelegen, Panoramaaussicht, sehr liebe Familie, man bekommt einen sehr guten Einblick in das Dorfleben. Preis sehr günstig, man muss zwar jedes Mal drei Dollar fürs Taxi bezahlen, um dort weg zu kommen, aber trotzdem noch günstiger als sonstwo. Man kann mit der Familie essen (gut und günstig) und auch auf dem Hof mithelfen. In der Unterkunft selbst hängen Informationen zu Touren aus, die leider gar nicht von der Unterkunft im Internet beworben werden. Hätten wir von den Touren gewusst,……

“One of the best stays during our 3 week trip in Ecuador. Maybe the best overall. Modern and luxeous lodge in a gorgeous, peaceful landscape with a beautiful view on the forested mountains. Clean rooms, very large comfortable bed (even large enough for me, I am almost 2 meters tall) and lots of big windows to peer outside. Delicious meals and an excellent, very hospitable host.
