Nice cabin in the mountains, off the beaten path. It was an interesting drive up to the cabin but once you’re there it was perfect for us. Love the privacy and the hot tub. Nice getaway for our family!

The cabin was clean and very nice. It's in the mountains close to but away from the hustle and bustle of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg just minutes away from both. The location of the cabin is very peaceful and quiet. Really enjoyed our stay.

This cabin was close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It was ideal for our family with dogs. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint is some of the jets in the hot tub weren’t working and the towels in one of the bathrooms were dusty. I still highly recommend this cabin and we are hoping to return next year.

Cute cabin

The house was clean and well taken care of. The owner was awesome and responded quickly. The room in the basement is a little short so beware if you plan on having a taller person stay in the basement. I could stand and I am 5ft 10 in but if I was any taller I would not be able to. The cabin is up a mountain and if you are not familiar with that beware. Also make sure to look for Boogie Bear and turn there so you don't have to turn around.This place was great especially for the price. I recommend. Close to Pigeon Forge and Gatliburg. In the middle of both one of my favorite parts.

The cabin is gorgeous, we only had a few minor concerns, we enjoyed our stay! We had lots of rain and it leaked on the basement floor. The beds were very squeaky.

Don’t feed the bears

I was honestly surprised to see this place has 4.7 stars. The beds were super uncomfortable; 1 had wheels, another had a squeaky bed frame that amplified all movement noise, and the other was covered in dog hair. I have dogs, I get having hair on sheets, but this made me question if the bed got cleaned. I also doubt those beds were queen sized. The house is not up to code with a light socket next to a shower. The kitchen can only comfortably fit 1 person at a time. The floors felt sticky. If you want hot water though this is your place. In 2 seconds the faucet gets hot enough to steam and the showers have the potential to remove all the layers of your skin. Also don’t try to park more than 2 cars here. In fact 2 cars might be too many. It fits 1 1/2. To be fair, the place did have a great catalogue of 90s and early 2000s DVDs, and the hot tub which was nice. However we were a tad scared to use it. About 15 minutes after we arrived we got to see 7 bears both underneath the deck balcony and in the front yard. They stayed for like 30-45 minutes and didn’t seem scared of us at all. Apparently this place is known for bears (perhaps related to all the peanut shells and food scraps we later found). Over the next 2 days we saw bears on the property 4 more times. They’d just be sashaying down the middle of the road in groups of 3 or 4. If you don’t plan on sleeping (too uncomfortable and noisy) or going outside (the bears are not scared of you) then this is the place for you.

Family Fun

I must say we were pleasantly surprised at the ease getting to Bear-A-Bout. What a great location in-between Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. Everything you needed was in the cabin, which we happened to be in more the planned as the weather did not want to cooperate. We found the beds were comfy, showers had great pressure, kitchen was well equipped. We had one little hiccup that we had to contact Karen about and she responded almost immediately and handled the situation. She was so nice and happy to help.I would definitely recommend it to anyone want a reasonably priced place to stay for vacation. Karen, Thank you, Dave & Family
