Cozy

It was a very beautiful cabin we were greeted by a momma bear & her 3 cubs upon our arrival. We loved the donkeys adjacent to the cabin. Would recommend it and stay again.

Cute cabin

We had a great time in the cabin. It had super cute pictures on the wall. Our dog loved staying there too. We enjoyed the hot tub and the view.

Nice home

Very nice small and secluded home. Great for a couples getaway. Some of the bulbs were burnt out and a door knob didn’t work but nothing major. There was also a mouse problem so hopefully they get that resolved. We would definitely stay again especially for the price.

Private, peaceful, way up the mountain

Exactly what we needed

My initial reaction when walking into this home after a 16 hour drive was how comfortable it felt. The lights were on for us and the central air was perfect. It smelled clean and was a perfect fit for my boyfriend, my dog and I. The decor was adorable and made us want to stay forever!

Great Get Away

My husband and I wanted to get away and see the Christmas lights and a Christmas show. The cabin was very nice but the weather did not cooperate so we were not able to walk around and enjoy the lights. The Hatfield & McCoy Christmas show was great. The cabin was like it was described and we really enjoyed soaking in the hot tub listening to the rain We will definitely book this cabin again if its just the two of us traveling

Weekend getaway

The location was serene and beautiful. The bathrooms could use some updating but overall the place was nice. Several jets did not work on the hot tub, but it was still warm and clean. We did not use the jacuzzi inside.

No working hot tube

The cabin was cute and cozy, but the hot tube was not working which is one of the reasons why we booked this particular cabin. We were not able to sleep well due to rodents behind the wall. We probably will not return to this particular cabin in the future.

Great little cabin

Honestly no complaints the cabin is older, but well maintained. Mirrors are hung low so us tall folks had to bend down however we aren’t complaining because we really enjoyed our stay. No critters at all bothered us except the cicadas which are LOUD everywhere this year (bring a noise machine if staying this summer.) We sat outside and watched the lightening bugs. Also, we got to see the donkeys/mules in the field beside the cabin! They were precious! The roads are narrow and steep getting up to the cabins but that is normal for the mountains. It’s not excessive and by the end of our 3 night stay we were used to driving the roads! I would stay here again.

Cozy cabin

The cabin was on a dead end road and all by itself, so very private. It’s a 1 bedroom 2 bath cabin. Had a hot tub on back screened in deck. Large jacuzzi tub in bedroom. Full kitchen. Plenty of towels. Very clean. We even had a bear to come up on the front porch!!

1st Time was a Charm

This was my first time staying in a cabin. It was cozy, romantic and somewhat secluded. We even got to see a little wildlife. This cabin was very clean and well kept. We really enjoyed it. I would’ve given it 5 stars but I did see a few cobwebs and some of the lights didn’t work and the knob on the bathroom shower didn’t work very well and made it hard to adjust the temperature. Overall, it was great and I would recommend it to others looking for a romantic getaway. We will definitely be back, we enjoyed “Get N Lucky” 🍀

Nice little place for relaxation

It’s a nice cozy place that feels secluded at the end of the road. We initially tried to log on Wi-Fi and watch so movies and found no internet on the tv or even on our phones it was a simple fix with the router was unplugged. Did find that the floor lamps didn’t work as we wanted a little more light but we just made due. The hot tub seemed to cycle the jets on and off and I am assuming that’s normal and just to keep the temp at what it’s set at.

Couples getaway

First impression the cabin looked clean and decorated nicely. Had a hard time finding plugs to charge phones because plugs are loose. Front shower knob was so loose it was hard to get the temp right. Hair in the shower. Hot tub was not hot and not allowed to change temp. Bugs in the floor beside the couch where I was looking for a working plug. Only 1 pillow with a pillow case on the bed for 2 adults. 2 other pillows with shams but was unsure if comforter and shams get washed between stays.

Property has potential but not good

The property is very dated, they only have cosmetically fixed some things. The giant tub is original to the house and has a sulphur smell that permeates throught the entire master suite. The hot tub is old and leaks. The mirror is the mast bath is barely hanging on the wall and crooked. Theres a lamp in the living room that has been broken and just proped up. The cleaning person left the cleaning rags and mop for us to put away. We had a mouse issue in the house, I reported it and never got a response.

Get N Lucky left us unlucky!

This cabin had great potential to be a great romantic weekend getaway. The cabin was secluded, and clean when we we arrived. However, the number one thing needed is a hot tub with a gorgeous view, unfortunately the hot tub is old and dated, and we arrived to a very cold tub and we were never able to get in. The porch is screened in and would have been a perfect place for a romantic soak in the tub. The appliances are updated. The fireplace is gorgeous. The house is drafty and cold. Fireplace was nice. There is a tub inside which we did enjoy. However the strong smell of sulphur from the water, made it hard to relax and enjoy. This cabin has such a cozy potential for a romantic weekend. The hot tub needs to be replaced. That really put a damper on our weekend.

Cozy but could use some work

This cabin was in a wonderful location and was super cozy for my husband, two dogs and myself. We ran into a few issues. The hot tub is old and loud. It cycles day and night and is on the other side of the bedroom. I’m a light sleeper and it woke me up several times. There are critters living in the walls and ceiling, you can hear them during the day and night. There are stains on the ceiling above the living room TV that I believe is from animal urine. The coffee pot doesn’t work well. To brew a cup of coffee you need to brew it about a minute at a time before the maker turns off on its own and needs to be turned back on. The flood lights that should light up the drive didn’t work which made taking the dogs out after sunset a bit unnerving because we couldn’t see anything. The trash can outside is not in a bear proof cage which worried us when we needed to take a bag out half way through our trip. The screen on the screened in porch is shot. The TV in the bedroom is old, doesn’t have the ability to hook up our roku and the speakers barely work. I attempted to reach out to vacasa about a couple of these issues but couldn’t get a response. For the positive, check in and out was super easy. The cabin was clean upon our arrival. The stove, oven and refrigerator worked great. The area is beautiful and conveniently located. We were visited by some burros, cows and turkeys which was a lot of fun. The heat and the A/C worked great. And although it needs some work, having the screened in porch was really great. The cabin was priced pretty cheep considering we visited during the busiest time of year. But you get what you pay for.

Would not stay here again

We arrived just as the cleaning crew was leaving. Positives: Check in and out were easy. Private – the cabin is at the end of a very steep and winding mountain top road. Once parked, there was only a VERY short walk to the cabin. Bed was comfortable. TV and DVD player in bedroom. A/C worked well. Negatives: Hot tub was dirty and we could not use. We texted Vacasa about several things that needed attention, but only a few were taken care of – the hot tub was not one of them. Hot tub area had many spider webs in the inside. If the cabin was cleaned properly, they would have been removed during the cleaning. When we booked, it was with Mountain Air Cabin Rentals, which was taken over by Vacasa. When we booked, we were told we would have free breakfast at Reagan Pancakes. When we got to the restaurant, they said they do not have an agreement with Vacasa. I asked about Mountain Air and they said, yes but we are now with Vacasa. This added extra costs daily. Front Porch – Outside lighting did not work in the front and side of the cabin. Since bears were seen in the area, this was a safety issue. Vacasa did take care of the outside lights in the front (not the side) of the cabin; however, once they were lit, there was no way to turn them off. The switches that we assumed regulated the outside lights did not work. Kitchen – no hand soap, frying pan, baking dish or potholders. Reported to Vacasa, but it was not taken care of. Counters were dirty - once I saw this and the hot tub, I felt the need to clean the entire cabin before we stayed. Venetian blind wand was missing and we could not open and close. Reported to Vacasa, but it was not taken care of. Living Room – Bulb was missing from lamp (Vacasa did take care of this). Dust on the floor. Bedroom – Batteries were missing from a remote (Vacasa did take care of this). No extra blanket. Tub Room – Venetian blind wand was missing and we could not open and close. Reported to Vacasa, but it was not taken care of. Bathrooms – Very tiny, no place to put toiletries. No grab bar, (safety issue). No inside shower curtain in one bathroom.
