Rolling Smoky Mountain vistas in wooded surroundings pair with a brand-new (2024 build) luxury cabin in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, to create The Refined Raccoon Retreat — a 4-bedroom, 4½-bathroom hideaway for up to 12 guests. Splash in the private indoor swimming pool with an underwater ledge, host movie nights in the media space with a huge TV, play pool, air hockey, and arcade games, and hang out in the bonus loft with another big screen TV…for starters!

Just 12 miles from Parkway attractions, shops, events, and eateries, you'll enjoy the natural beauty and peace of the Smokies within reach of downtown Pigeon Forge fun. After a full day of roller coasters at Dollywood, escape games at The Island, or a shopping spree at The Old Mill Square, return to take it easy for a while at your Pigeon Forge cabin — sipping Appalachian moonshine in front of the electric (heated) fireplace or wood-burning firepit or soaking tired muscles in the steamy hot tub with massaging water jets.

Hungry? Fire up the gas grill or head to the fully equipped kitchen at your Pigeon Forge cabin rental — featuring stone counters, major and minor appliances, bright windows, cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishware, glassware, mugs, and more. There's also an industrial-style sink, a double-duty coffeemaker for pots or single cups, and a crockpot for added convenience. Overall, our stay was fantastic! There were only 5 of us, so plenty of space to spread out. Views were incredible and it was quiet & peaceful up in the mountains. The roads in are steep and winding, but easily manageable, watch for bear!About 20-25 mins from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg about 35 mins. Townsend is 10-15 mins west and has a grocery store, or there is a Dollar General closer.Kitchen is well stocked, so well stocked, that there isn't a lot of food storage, but we managed. Bedrooms are spacious, bathrooms well appointed. I recommend your own towels if you prefer some fluff to them.Indoor pool is nice, and game room is great for family time. Swim towels provided.Wifi is sporadic, really only works in the main living areas, so don't expect to stream or game on your phone.To do: Guided utv tour from Off Road Gatlinburg, the sunset ride was awesome. The Escape Game in The Island and shopping. Buzzed Bull for some adult ice cream (non-alcoholic also available). Smoky Mountain Brewery had great food and 9 of their own beers- get a flight! If you have an off road capable vehicle, hit Parson's Branch Rd off Cade's Cove. Then do the Tail of the Dragon.Only minor complaint is we couldn't use the dryer- dryer vent was missing. Not sure how that happens, but certainly don't blame the cleaning team for not noticing it was gone, or the mgmt team for not having a replacement immediately available. There was a drying rack so we made do until we could run to Townsend.

Great stay at the refined raccoon retreat

This is a beautiful home with perfect views of the smokey mountains. The house was very clean and provided so much space for our family of 11 ages ranging from 5-65. The pool, the hot tub, game room and theatre were great for keeping everyone busy. We had daily visits from multiple bear. A momma and 3 cubs, and a young yearling male visited often. The only issues we had were several things in the home being broken. The lint trap in the drier was broken on arival not allowing us to do laundry all week. There was a door knob on one of the upstairs bedrooms that was broken as well. Overall great home and we had a great stay. Would go back again and would recommend.

Great relaxing family vacation

Overall the cabin was clean and in great shape minus a few minor things. My daughter loved the pool and there were plenty of activities for the whole family. We were lucky enough to be visited by a family of black bears as they passed through. This cabin is off the beaten path and limited cell service, but was still close enough for a drive into town. It was exactly what we needed for a fun and relaxing family vacation.

2025 FAMILY VACATION

The cabin is very nice. Enjoyed the pool with the granddaughters a couple nights. First night it was warm, after being serviced the second night it was cold.Didn't get to enjoy the hot tub due to the cover being broke and in the water making it difficult to lift. Water needed replaced, and cleaned out.Pretty view, with a local mama bear and her 2 cubs visiting us.Need more cooking essentials. Hot pads, kitchen towels, plastic containers and soaps. (Dish and hand) Bring your own, only 1 of each is provided. If you plan on cooking meals, you will need to buy spices too.Kitchen sink was not secured or sealed.Bathrooms need hooks to hang towels on closer to the shower. The beginning of the driveway was washed out and a little bumpy before you reached the paved driveway, having a 4 wheel drive vehicle was very helpful.Over all the cabin is wonderful, and would recommend it!(Mentioned the above items just as an FYI)

Family Vacation, Party of Ten

We had the best time at The Refined Raccoon Retreat! The cabin was absolute perfection and was even more beautiful in person. Plenty of room for all of us and we were all plenty comfortable. We ranged in age from six to sixty-six! The adults loved the open living, dining, kitchen area, while the kiddos loved the bunk room and indoor pool. We spent several evenings around the fire and plenty of days playing games on the back deck. We were only 15-20 minutes from Pigeon Forge and only 20-30 minutes from Gatlinburg. The National Park is plenty close as well, so we spent several days hiking there. The cabin could use a small vacuum and mop for longer stays. We stayed a full week and it got pretty messy with 10 people eating/drinking and bringing in dusty boots after hiking. We were provided a small broom and dustpan, but it was broken upon arrival and didn’t do much. We also could have used a few more towels/washcloths for the bathrooms and kitchen. We made do, but that added convenience would have been nice. We were short on trash bags and dishwasher detergent with being there a whole week as well. All the frying pans have chipping/peeling teflon so we didn’t feel comfortable using them. An ice cream scoop and a rubber scraper would have come in very handy for cooking and snacks throughout the week. Also, with such a large home that sleeps so many people, an additional basement refrigerator would be great for those staying a full week.Overall, VERY impressed! 10/10!!!

Great Smoky Mountains family trip

This property has it all. We were a total of nine people, three teenagers, two children, mom, dad, a grandpa and a grandma. Everyone in the family had its own spsce. The children and teenagers enjoyed the pool, and the adults enjoyed the jacuzzi. The family played games together like UNO, Quirkle, Connect 4, and Monopoly. There are 3 living rooms so the teenagers, children and adults had their own living room to enjoy a movie. The view from the kitchen and the main living room is beautiful. We visited Gatlinburg, Ober Mountain, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We were able to enjoy the beauty of God's creation. We hiked several trails and found a swimming hole in the Pigeon river! We had a blast leaping off a towering rock into the waters of a swimming hole in the Pigeon River. It was la memorable vacation.
