Idyllic spot

The villa is perfectly positioned facing out to sea with wonderful views. The master bedroom is splendid, the others are a little dark, but we spent most of our time outdoors. We walked to the next door taverna or to one further round the bay for supper. The kitchen is not as well equipped as it might be but fine for simple salads at lunch or for breakfast. Luba the property manager was a delightful but non intrusive presence. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Sehr gepflegte Unterkunft

Wir wurden sehr herzlich mit einem Raki begrüßt und durch das Haus geführt. Der erste Eindruck wurde nicht enttäuscht. Das Haus war sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der tägliche Service war sehr gut und Lubi hatte immer gute Laune und Tipps zur Hand. Jeden dritten Tag wurde das Haus gereinigt und die Betten frisch bezogen. Nochmals vielen Dank dafür. Die Tavernen waren alle fußläufig zu erreichen und das Essen war gut. Kleiner Strand direkt von der Terrasse aus zu erreichen. Jeden morgen kommt der Bäcker mit seinem Wagen und versorgt einem mit frischem Brot und Gebäck. Es wäre schön wenn das quietschen beim öffnen und schließen der Terrassentüre abgestellt würde.

Stunning location off the beaten path

We enjoyed a wonderful stay and it is certainly hard to beat the location with proximity to sea and super quiet beach. Property was arguably better than expected, a little larger than pictures suggest and also planting between and around properties really enhance look and privacy of villas. Housekeeper was amazingly helpful and attentive, came daily to sweep terrace and attend to pool and also pleasantly surprised to have villa serviced twice over a 10 day stay. Only disappointment was the lack of a welcome pack, just water and a few basic provisions would have been amazing after a close to 2 hour drive (from either airport) and with nearest shop a few miles away, this would be a really helpful and considerate touch and could be done for less than €10. An information pack of some description, possibly detailing nearest shops, ATM, doctor, restaurant recommendations and places of interest would also be appreciated. Housekeeper provided this info but always helpful to have as reference. Wonderful holiday and really pleased to have found it.

Sehr schönes mittleres Haus in toller, sehr ruhiger Lage.

Die drei Häuser der Anlage liegen direkt am Meer. Der Weg zum Strand ist nur getrennt vom Garten und der kleinen wenig befahrenen Straße. Das Haus war sehr sauber. Die Betten bequem und mit drei Schlafzimmern und zwei Bädern ist auch genug Platz für 6 Personen. Die große Wohnküche ist gut ausgestattet. Das Highlight ist allerdings die Terrasse mit dem Infinty-Pool. Drei kleine Erbsen gibt es aber doch: Kein Toiletten-Papier in die WC‘s, da sie sonst verstopfen. In den drei Schlafzimmern gab es keine Stühle und im Ensuite-Bad fehlte jegliche Möglichkeit um Shampoo, Zahnbürste und Co. abzustellen. Ein kleines Regal am Waschbecken wäre sehr hilfreich. Was aber den Gesamteindruck nicht schmälert und das Haus hat auf jeden Fall 5 Sterne verdient. Leckeres Essen gab es in der Taverne Zorbas nur 500m entfernt. Sehr nette Wirtsleute und preiswertes Essen. Die andere Taverne Ionis, direkt neben den drei Häusern hatte noch zu soll aber auch gut sein! Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Super schöne Ferienwohnung!

Tolle Ferienwohnung direkt am Meer, sehr gut eingerichtet, alles sauber und in gepflegtem Zustand. Ruhige Umgebung aber nette Tavernen mit leckerem Essen in der direkten Nachbarschaft. Toller Service durch die sehr nette und hilfsbereite Haushälterin! Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen!

Kompletter Urlaub

Familie (6 erw. Personen) erlebte einen kompletten Urlaub. Wohnung wie beschrieben, modern und stylisch. Lage ist einzigartig. An manchen Tagen hat man den Strand für sich allein. Ausflüge mit dem obligatorischen Mietwagen sind fast immer Tagestouren.

Gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis in ruhiger Lage

Unkomplizierter Checkin-Vorgang. Das Haus entsprach genau der Beschreibung des Inserats. Es war sauber und der Service jeden 3. Tag war wirklich prima. Zudem war die Servicekraft sehr freundlich. Einzig schade ist, dass der Blick aufs Meer von den oberirdischen Stromleitungen ein bisschen getrübt wird, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal hier!

Immer gerne wieder

Wir waren zu viert im August für eine Woche hier. Eine wunderschöne Lage mit eigenem Sehr ruhigem Strand. Die Villa war top gepflegt und es gab ein housecleaning während der Woche. Auch der Kontakt zum Eigentümer war hervorragend.

When we arrived at the house Mr Stratos Beretis was already there and showed us around. He was very nice and helpful! The house was well cleaned and every two days someone came to do a short clean up, change the towels and the bedding . The pool was clean as well and the whole ground was modern and beautiful. The sea is less than one minute away from the garden. On the beach you can relax perfecly because there are no other people then you and youre neigbours (at least when I was there). All in all it was a great experience and there is nothing we could complain about! For people who love beeing on their own and enjoying nature, silence and lonelyness its the perfect place, but if youre searching for action or crowds its the wrong place for you! Thanks for our great time and we hope to see you again on crete!

Wonderful quiet family holiday

We spent a week in July at Sfakia and had a lovely time. The beach is lovely and very nearby. The taverna next door caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner and are very friendly people. The villa itself is very well appointed with excellent AC and wonderful pool with views to the beach. Thoroughly recommended.

Schöne Frühlingsgefühle

Trotz zum Teil kräftiger kühler Winde haben wir den Aufenthalt genossen. Das Appartement ist groß und die Lage direkt am Strand herrlich. Dadurch dass noch keine Saison war, mussten wir die Lebensmittel aus Francocastello holen. Das war aber mit dem Mietwagen kein Problem.

Toller Urlaub

Ein tolles Haus an einem sehr ruhigen und schönen Strand. Wer Griechenland und keinen Massentourismuss sucht ist hier richtig. Schöne Umgebung mit allem was man sich von Griechenland erwartet. Das Haus und der Pool sind in einem sehr guten und modernem Zustand. Alles drinnen im Haus was man für ein paar tolle Urlaubstage braucht.

Beautiful morning views

We had our children with us two girls (19 & 16) and our son (13) and because of the fairly isolated location a week was probably enough for them, however my wife and i would happily stay for a month. The villa is very clean, and in good working order; we were unfortunate to arrive after a problem with the waste pipes and for the first 4 days had the smell of human waste around the pool and patio area, (the agent who greeted us informed us of this immediately on arrival and finalised the repair on the fourth day). the pool was cleaned regularly. The three tavernas are all in walking distance and are the hosts very welcoming with good home cooked food and a very friendly disposition. The nearest supermarket is approx 4.5km away and personally would advise on car hire when staying at Mary Villas but if you just want to CHILL this location is PERFECT.

Lovely modern villa with nice pool at quiet little beach. 2 small tavernas within walking distance but need a car to access other areas. Not far from Imbros gorge. Could have done with a bit more kitchen equipment for self catering.

UNA VACANZA PERFETTA

Ideale per chi fugge dal turismo di massa e cerca la calma. La villa si trova a circa 4 Km da Frangokastello, villaggio che offre parecchie taverne di buona qualità e Minimarket con generi alimentari e una bella spiaggia. Questa zona (per ora ) non è ancora turistica, ma abbiamo visto molte villette in costruzioni, e temo che fra uno o 2 anni anche questa zona cesserà di essere la "vera CRETA"! La villa è nuova, molto bella e ben arredata e corrisponde alla descrizione fatta sull'annuncio. I letti sono comodi, la cucina con vetroceramica, frigo e congelatore, c'è un utilissimo spremiagrumi e una macchina per caffè con il filtro (peccato niente macchina per espresso) La piscina è perfetta ma purtroppo la spiaggetta difronte è piuttosto sporca (piena di alghe) e sassosa. A 50 m c'è una taverna dove abbiamo mangiato un ottimo pesce fresco e alla sera un ottimo Raki con formaggio di capra e cetrioli. Ci intendavamo a gesti e con qualche parola di greco (i gestotri sono molto simpatici ma parlano solo greco). Io consiglio vivamente questa villa a gente che non cerca boutiques, discoteche, bar-apero o ristoranti di lusso, la movida insomma, perchè non troverà nulla di tutto questo. Ma per chi cerca la quiete, il silenzio e il riposo in una bellissima casa, allora questa location è PERFETTA. Noi ci torneremo di certo. Grazie.

Schönes Haus in toller Lage direkt am Meer

Wir erlebten sehr spät im Jahr, Ende Oktober, noch wunderschöne Sonnentage in dem neu gebauten Bungalow 50 m vom Meer entfernt. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Etwas mehr Geschirr, Gläser und Besteck wären für 6 Personen manchmal nützlich gewesen. Aber mit Hilfe der Spülmaschine war das kein echtes Problem. Den angekündigten Maid Service gab es nicht - wohl wegen des baldigen Saisonendes. Der Pool wurde von einem ebenfalls auf dem Grundstück wohnenden Mann sehr gut gepflegt. Diesen konnte man auch wegen anderer Kleinigkeiten ansprechen. In der Taverne 100 m neben dem Haus gab es leckeres griechisches Essen mit sehr freundlichem Service. Insgesamt genossen wir alle unseren Aufenthalt sehr, auch die Kinder. Für Menschen, die es laut und lebhaft wollen, nicht zu empfehlen, für alle, die Natur, Meer und Ruhe schön finden, aber um so mehr.

A slice of paradise.

This is what holiday dreams are made of. The house had everything we could want and was a fabulous base for exploring the southern coast. Am in love and hope to return soon.
