After reading reviews about amazing service, wonderful breakfast and tired furnishings, I actually was far from impressed with my stay. The communication between Hotels.com and Radisson re amount of breakfasts the booking is entitled to is an argument at check-in and I was made to feel “challenged” right from the start. The carpet has bulges as tripping points all over the place and is ill-fitting in places within the Park-View restaurant. It is not clear on the site if it Buffet or Continental breakfast. If you are after a good breakfast, then this is not the place. The cold meat and cheese selection is poor. In fact, the bacon is poorly over cooked, oily and the sausages are so very cheap. Tinned fruits and low quality pastries. The restaurant staff do not give good personal service at all. Hmm, take a look at the pool showers ..mold and cockroaches. Makes you wonder how the pool even obtained the straight smiley face rating. At check-in you will also notice the straight smiley-face China rating displayed on the wall among the plaques ...take note of this and lower your expectations from “five star” to match that more accurate rating. In Shanghai, you are spoilt for choices and I suggest that you can do far better than Radisson Blu.
